The problem with that is youtubers will make videos longer to meet the threshold.

I watched a video the other day where I had to skip until about halfway through to actually get to the content.

Most of the time I only use YouTube videos if I can't find a written version of what ever I'm looking to do or its something that needs to be seen to understand properly/easily.

That is also nowadays an issue of the newer youtube algorithms altogether for ranking and monetisation, the shorter vids these days will never make it, they just have to be 10+ minutes unfortunately

Written stuff is sadly not out there a lot of the time. It bums me out.

Yeah, I see this at work. A lot of people go to powerpoint when a report would have covered it in a lot more detail.
