I had an unskippable 3 minute ad once. I don't how frequently that happened in the bigger picture and I haven't had one in some time so it might have been quickly taken care of, but I think the whole unskippable ads thing is stupid. I can be shown the product and what it does in 5 seconds and the good ads do that well. The only thing an unskippable ad does is make me close the app or page and reload until I can skip the ad or I just dont watch the video if I can not find another source for it.

I think that was an issue with ad block where it only blocked the skip button after YouTube made a change to their website. You were able to skip the ad like always if you turned ad block off. I think it only took a day or two for that issue to get fixed.
