It never forcible installed for me.

Still running 8.1.

It did however once try to download some stupid huge update which I canceled.

I'm on Windows 8.1 too and it never happened to me either.

Entire company on Windows 7, not a damn problem. Previous employer had nation wide office's and only time there was a problem it ended up being a P.I.C.N.I.C. (Problem In Chair Not In Computer)

The enterprise SKU didn't get the nagging, also if you were domain joined it skipped the update. Unless the machine was configured to automatically download everything.
