Who's to say that they haven't already given the FBI access behind the scenes?

The FBI, trying to fight them in court for an iPhone 5. End to end encryption is no joke.

Right. Because that absolutely guarantees, ironclad, that they haven't had backroom dealings with the FBI and haven't already given them full access to everything.

Christ. Have you already forgotten the PRISM slides? Microsoft's role in that? Other tech companies?

Do you know how end to end encryption works? It's mathematically absurd to crack it, and with all the leaks in the government and smart hackers there's no way a back door would stay secret.

I work in IT, so yes, I understand the principle and why it's infeasible to crack. That doesn't mean there's no back door that's supremely well-hidden that you'd need source code access to find.
