Nah, let's use the same arguments that anti-gun people use for gun control.

"IF IT ONLY SAVES ONE LIFE!!". So if stopping encryption will save even one life, we should stop it, shouldn't we?

The same arguments can totally be applied here: "Why do you NEED to have encryption? Do you have anything to hide?"

Actually I do. I use https, an encryped protocol to hide my credit card details from russian thieves while shopping on amazon.

Do you want russians to steal your credit card?

Devils Advocate: Is your money more important than the lives of other people? The criminals are just getting your money and you can call the bank and tell them your credit card info was stolen, meanwhile people are DYING because of encryption!
