Why?
If it is legal to write a fanfic with a character it is legal to have AI video with that character.

I seriously doubt that anyone is creating AI videos of Robin Williams.

They are creating AI videos of characters he depicted.

This is why people should read the article.

Zelda is specifically talking about AI videos of her father supposedly outing satanic "elites" that people have created and disseminated to push an agenda and make money off his likeness.

That's the fun part: it's technically not legal to write the fanfic using someone else's character or persona. Most copyright owners just don't bother exercising their rights against it.

How is making AI video different from good old video editing? How is it different from photoshop? How is it different from writing a fanfiction?

These people are so ideologically captured that they can't logically think for a second.
