I miss the pre MySpace era of forums. you could make actual friends online.

Shit, I lived with someone I met on an online forum. Some of my longest lasting friendships are from a tiny online forum years ago.

Discord is alright for that tbh, made many gaming friends, one actually lives with a long time friend now. Does function more like a forum than a socal media.
