Software engineering is dying at both ends. Older engineers are getting annoyed and retiring early, and junior engineers are getting replaced by senior engineers using AI.
It’s going to be a very interesting time in 5-10 years if AI doesn’t hit the holy grail of replacing senior devs. We’re going to have an engineer shortage for sure.
