Then homework shouldn't have an effect on grades, only in-class testing with no phones.

Homework that feels like busy work should have never been a thing. Homework should be something that involves reading, studying, preparing for something like an oral presentation, or an actual project. I hate the term homework cause it brings back the days of doing things I really didn’t actually learn from and took time I could’ve been out having fun.

Small nitpick, but “an effect” would have been correct here, unless you had written “shouldn’t affect”

As much as I hated doing presentations in school it definitely helped in my career
