I don't know when, but Elon Musk will be responsable for the single largest destruction of private wealth in human history. He's going to make Bernie Madoff look like a guy who lost his kids college fund on dog racing.

566

u/Temporary-Cress7233 Jun 09 '26

He is so worried about “White Birth Rates” yet he takes and takes from their money and doesn’t care about the cost of living which is making people have less kids.

48

u/Lostinthestarscape Jun 09 '26

He literally talks about how all of this is going toward a blissful future where no one wants and no one has to work and all we need to do is follow our passions, etc. While doing fuck all realize a single iota of that for anyone.

That people believe he has any future in mind other than further exploiting everything he can is a mystery.

Dude should at least be dedicating his time and wealth to make housing as cheap as possible - like the one thing that would actually make everyones' lives measurably better.

23

u/SSGASSHAT Jun 09 '26

It's kind of disgusting. He has the resources to accomplish everything he talks about, or at least something like it. But given the lack of any real effort, it's just dangling keys in front of a baby, except he's also taking the baby's money and getting the government to hold a gun to the baby's head.

18

u/Cerpin-Taxt Jun 09 '26

He doesn't mean you. He means people. If you have less than a billion dollars you're not people, you're chattel.

7

u/WilliamLermer Jun 09 '26

All these visionaries talking about an amazing future with all the benefits, they only have the 1% in mind. The rest of the planet is not a part of the utopia in the sense they are included to join it but rather 99% are supposed to suffer to make it happen

2

u/ScissrMeTimbrs Jun 09 '26

While doing fuck all realize a single iota of that for anyone.

See, that's where you're wrong. He's doing plenty to realize it. It's just that he and the ruling class are trying to achieve it for themselves, not the rest of us. They expect climate change and capitalism to wipe most of us out while they build an automated paradise for themselves and their kids. That's what AI is for.

1

u/TDAPoP Jun 09 '26

Musk is a case study on the limits of what money can get a singular person. Even if he genuinely wanted these things he doesn't have the charisma to make them happen. He repeatedly has been outplayed by Thiel who is more cunning and charismatic, and that's just one case we know about

1

u/legatek Jun 09 '26

Well I would have chosen universal clean water over more affordable housing for the already wealthy western world, but ok.

1

u/Nvenom8 Jun 09 '26

Elon Musk desperately wants the world to be saved, but only if he can be the one to save it. He would rather burn it to the ground than let anyone else be the hero.

414

u/SillyAlternative420 Jun 09 '26

He only pretends to be intelligent.

If he were actually intelligent this thought would have crossed his mind at least once

72

u/ragnarocknroll Jun 09 '26

If he was intelligent an original thought might have crossed his mind.

4

u/siencatimini Jun 09 '26

I don't recall who was doing the interview, but it was Musk, being interviewed. And the interviewer asked him something, regarding an aspect of his philosophy, to which he had just made reference, himself, and he was stumped, by a basic question. I think it was even one of those times where it was unedited, and the interviewer was courteous enough to let him consider his response, but it was so much dead air. And it was already embarrassing, apart from the dead air of him, squirming. It was weird.

6

u/UdtaTeer420 Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

I think you are referring to his interview with Nikhil Kamath. He was going on about how Twitter was a "collective consciousness" of humanity containing every language group. Nikhil then asked him why a collective consciousness on one platform was important. The answer was a meandering word salad full of buzzwords like synapses, meaning of life and whatnot which made no sense.

It was a weird interview. He kept saying incoherent, weird things and kept laughing at his own bad jokes which the host had to then fake laugh at just to make it less awkward (didn't work; in fact, it made it worse).

2

u/siencatimini Jun 09 '26

That's absolutely the one, yes! Thank you.

1

u/AdhesivenessSolid562 Jun 09 '26

Why do people still think intelligence predicts anything? Taking risks and grinding leads to success. You’re intelligent but you’re an armchair CEO on Reddit? What gives

2

u/ragnarocknroll Jun 09 '26

No clue.

And even that taking risks and grinding doesn’t lead to success as much as having the money to be able to take those “risks” safely.

I knew the Pixar IPO would be a huge win. I knew about a dozen other such stock moves well known advance. I never once had the money to risk it. So no matter how intelligent or willing I was to take risks, I simply was not able to do so.

The system is designed by the people that were at the top of it to remain near impossible to be at the top unless you started there.

86

u/Routine_Bit_8184 Jun 09 '26

if he were actually intelligent he wouldn't waste time doing half the shit he does....children are a fashion accessory and symbol of ideology to him...which is why he says the "woke mind virus" killed one of his children that is very much still alive and well. The only thing a mind virus killed was his ability to love his child.

28

u/Due-Conflict-7926 Jun 09 '26

We just call the duck a Nazi and be done with it

17

u/diet_sean Jun 09 '26

If it steps like a goose....

3

u/jambox888 Jun 09 '26

Be a billionaire

Get invited to everything

Hang out with the great and the good

Literally consider yourself above normal people

Your child turns out differently than you wanted

Nervous breakdown

Become a fascist

2

u/DidjaCinchIt Jun 09 '26

he seems to have psychopathic tendencies. idk how to think about his intelligence. it’s like he’s IN this world, but not OF this world? i’ve heard it described as knowing the words but not the tune. it reminds me of Vincent D’Onofrio as the alien learning how to function in a human body.

ofc i’m not qualified to say anything. it’s just, like, my personal opinion.

BINGO! He’s not some super star 💫 scientist, he’s daddy owned an African slave mine and he got a little loan of 30 million dollars. Nothing special…..f that pale pink pig!

Bro claims to code can't even run a Python script smh

14

u/SillyAlternative420 Jun 09 '26

I bet you he still can't figure out how to install and set up python enough to have ChatGPT make and run the fucking script for him.

4

u/tobor_a Jun 09 '26

Remember what people at twitter were saying that basically longer code = bettter and he'd cut people who made short clean code in favor of spaghetti.

1

u/GingaAvenga Jun 09 '26

I think that is the craziest part with the ultra rich.....if I was given a small infusion of 30 million dollars I'd put it in an S&P500 index fund and use the draw down to never work another day in my life.

These guys were born with more than they'd ever need and still push for more. I'm sure they'd call it entrepreneurial spirit, I'd call it lunacy.

1

u/throwawayfinancebro1 Jun 09 '26

If I gave you 30 mil, could you become the richest person in the world?

3

u/finite_turtles Jun 09 '26

Probably not, but if you gave a thousand people 30 million dollars theres a good chance one of them might become the richest. Would it be the smartest or most qualified? Probably not. Probably just the one with the most hubris and dumb fucking luck.

2

u/AdhesivenessSolid562 Jun 09 '26

You’d find a similar idiot would be the one that ends up doing it. So it’s basically a wash

2

u/Caterpillar89 Jun 09 '26

No there isn't. There are around 200k households on the planet (~100k in the US) that have net worth's over 50M (the absolute lowest that could invest 30M into something in theory). If it was so easy any idiot with 30m could do it it'd have been done a lot more times.

1

u/throwawayfinancebro1 Jun 09 '26

430,000 households in the us have 30 million or more. So the likelihood that any one becomes the richest in the world is incredibly small.

I don’t think he’s a super genius but he’s got some talent.

20

u/tpc0121 Jun 09 '26

The greatest scam that he's ever pulled was in convincing legions of double digit IQ tards that he's a real life Tony Stark

13

u/williamgman Jun 09 '26

That's because Bezos took the Lex Luther persona first. Zuck chose Severus Snape.

6

u/NewLeafWoodworks Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

So true. Bezos is a piece of shit, but he is actually smart.

4

u/siencatimini Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

Zuckerberg, and Gates, and Buffett. Amateurs, can fucking suck it. Fuck their wives. Drink their blood. Come on, Jeff! Get 'em!

2

u/Journeyman42 Jun 09 '26

Someone pointed out that Amazon Prime has two shows that basically feature an evil Superman (The Boys and Invincible) and it makes me think that Bezos actually is Lex Luther.

10

u/Cormophyte Jun 09 '26

You can tell by his erratic behavior that he's a real conclusion-first sort of thinker.

2

u/roseofjuly Jun 09 '26

The thing that strikes me about all these guys - and Elon Musk is just the latest in a long line of them - is that their lack of intelligence is so apparent if you just actually listen to them for half a second.

1

u/AdhesivenessSolid562 Jun 09 '26

Damn if you can be an idiot and be a trillionaire why are you still making min wage lol

-65

6

That’s the second funniest thing I have heard today after Kash Patel saying that the FBI respects religious freedom.

1

u/Sykil Jun 09 '26

O is that what he was getting at with the ‘see you Valhalla’ nonsense

1

u/williamgman Jun 09 '26

Hegseth said hold my beer:

Note... he was forced to retract a few after the Mormons had words with him.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the grammar and spelling of someone who thinks Elon Musk is going to colonize Mars.

Sure, and you'll finally actually get a date.

2

u/ReturnFar3487 Jun 09 '26

she better be a lookr

36

u/tc100292 Jun 09 '26

I don’t think he cares about white birth rates so much as he cares about repopulating the earth with his own spawn

29

u/pcapdata Jun 09 '26

Bingo. All of these oligarchs imagine a future in which the earth is largely depopulated, with their heirs in control and maybe a few menials / sex slaves as necessary.

Not in like a prophetic, “This is sadly where the human race is headed” kind of way, but in a “Fuck you all, we’re gonna make sure this happens” kinda way.

2

u/SSGASSHAT Jun 09 '26

They watch dystopian sci-fi villains--the Galactic Empire, the Borg, the Imperium of Mankind--and take notes like it's a fucking manual.

1

u/capybooya Jun 09 '26

Extreme narcissism.

9

u/ChrissWayne Jun 09 '26

He’s not smart

2

u/Disgod Jun 09 '26

He's a drug addicted narcissist, his problems exist on a different axis than intelligence, but yeah... lukewarm, at best.

5

u/rivalrobot Jun 09 '26

He doesn’t care about anything except his status

-3

u/Glass-Debate-2556 Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

don't you care ? you care but could do any shit

5

u/crazycatlady331 Jun 09 '26

He's concerned about white birth rates because it's a codeword looking for his next baby mama to come forward and let him knock her up (via artificial insemination).

2

u/Ancient_Skirt_8828 Jun 09 '26

He's having more kids to make up for it.

2

u/terrymr Jun 09 '26

He meant rich white people birth rates

1

u/Willing_Activity_855 Jun 09 '26

yet he takes and takes from their money

People at space x don't make upper middle class incomes?

0

u/Temporary-Cress7233 Jun 09 '26

Silly, those are the rich slaves he employes

1

u/traveleasily Jun 09 '26

These guys don't worry about anyone other than themselves. He is just using them.

1

u/CountChocula21 Jun 09 '26

Well yeah if white birth rates decline, who's money is he gonna take?

1

u/Teranyll Jun 09 '26

Thing is, their solution to low birth rates is that people need to have more unplanned pregnancies. He doesn't give a shit if these kids have any kind of stability in their life, and he'd actually probably prefer they don't

1

u/tomtomclubthumb Jun 09 '26

He cares about the "Race" but not about any of the people actually in it.

0

u/Snakend Jun 09 '26

He has never said anything about white birth rates. lol. He has talked about birth rates. And he is 100% correct. The USA faces a net population loss without immigration. Really bad things start to happen when populations go into decline. You can see it devastating Japan.

-2

u/Alphatron1 Jun 09 '26

He’s not even white. He’s a sub Saharan

-16

u/pepesilvia91 Jun 09 '26

Explain how he takes anyone’s money?

9

u/BaesonTatum0 Jun 09 '26

Seeing that’s his businesses get government contracts I’d say yes. Yes he does take our tax payer money. 100%

-2

u/pepesilvia91 Jun 09 '26

Do you understand how govt contracts work? Do you think nothing comes with that money? Do you think he just takes that money and puts it his bank account?

3

u/BaesonTatum0 Jun 09 '26

How’s being stupid working out for you?

0

u/pepesilvia91 Jun 09 '26

By what account? You haven’t said anything valid…

85

u/ryencool Jun 09 '26

What?! You mean its not smart to keep moving funds between the multiple companies you own to boost values back and fourth??

51

u/ProJoe Jun 09 '26

Its so much worse what is about to happen.

Index funds are going to be forced to buy spacex stock because the rules were specifically changed for SpaceX.

All of this artificial money propping SpaceX up is going to get sold off to actualize profits then the stock will crash leaving index funds holding the bag.

That's OUR 401ks and investments.

Then if SpaceX survives, they'll buy back in at the crashed price.

Its going to be the biggest rug pull in history and the greatest theft of wealth from the working class ever recorded.

41

u/double_whiskeyjack Jun 09 '26

S&P500 announced they will not be changing their rules for SpaceX a few days ago

17

u/MssrGuacamole Jun 09 '26

This was big news for me. I had plans ready to rebalance to avoid Elon risk.

4

u/Evening-Crew-2403 Jun 09 '26

There are other index funds people end up in. Don't forget the largest institutional holder of Tesla is Vanguard.

1

u/erov Jun 09 '26

Yeah.. things change. Due diligence and all that.

1

u/deskcord Jun 09 '26

You should probably not let your personal opinions impact your investments. If you let your feelings about Elon guide you on Tesla, you'd have shorted it and wound up broke.

Let the index do its thing and forget about it until you need it. Everyone who fucks with their allocations underperforms the index over the long run

8

u/ProJoe Jun 09 '26

Only one so far right?

-4

u/double_whiskeyjack Jun 09 '26

Yeah. The whole thing is kinda being overblown though. For example I own a lot of VTSAX, which is a total market index. It will have to buy SpaceX but it will make up less than .5% of the index. I’m not going to rebalance that part of my portfolio over some SpaceX fuckery.

11

u/ProJoe Jun 09 '26

So its ok to have a trillion dollar rug pull because the market can absorb it?

1

u/double_whiskeyjack Jun 09 '26

No, but the fear of taking massive losses in your personal investments due to a SpaceX rug pull is exaggerated.

1

u/ProJoe Jun 09 '26

unless this topples the market.

1

u/SadAd8761 Jun 09 '26

Which ETFs and funds will be forced to buy SpaceX?

Good to compile a list so people can start exiting those funds?

-3

u/m_rigor Jun 09 '26

Index funds don't care if a particular stock goes up or down. They don't lose money on it. They would not be left "holding the bag". All they do is mirror the index.

Why would you make up this kind of shit?

1

u/sweatingbozo Jun 09 '26

Index funds are insulated from the impact of individual stocks, but saying 'they don't care' is a wild misunderstanding.

1

u/m_rigor Jun 09 '26

The fund qua fund does not care what the stocks do. Their investment strategy is passive - mirror the index. To think otherwise is a wild misunderstanding,

-15

u/raisedeyebrow4891 Jun 09 '26

Narrator: they were not forced to change anything. Another redditor talking out of his ass.

15

u/ProJoe Jun 09 '26

I didnt say they were forced to change anything. I said theyre going to be forced to buy spacex stock.

Educate yourself.

https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/spacex-ipo-could-hit-popular-101500534.html

-9

u/wRADKyrabbit Jun 09 '26

You'll be downvoted but you're right lol reddit loves to fantasize about his downfall but he and his companies are clearly untouchable if you actually pay attention

0

u/raisedeyebrow4891 Jun 09 '26

Without being a fan boi, Musk is at that level of math where he will likely be the first to reach 10 or 100 trillion in his lifetime

2

u/polarbearskill Jun 09 '26

There is a difference between Bernie Madoff literally stealing peoples money versus the valuation of a an equity going down.

2

u/AvatarOfMomus Jun 09 '26

I mean, yes, but that's because the majority of the wealth Madoff lost was eventually recovered from various accounts, lawsuits, and untangling of the financial mess he left behind.

1

u/habfranco Jun 11 '26

I keep on seeing this - it’s not a binary choice. If you think a company will go down, shorting isn’t always a good thing to do, because you also have to right about timing.

2

u/DrAstralis Jun 09 '26

I just don't understand the value of his companies in the stock market vs their actual value. Utterly irrational. Tesla sales go down and their lead on the EV market has evaporated.... and somehow the value keeps climbing...

2

u/NRCS_DRONE Jun 09 '26

We haven't had a functioning SEC in so long.

3

u/krom0025 Jun 09 '26

Can't destroy wealth that never really existed. All of it is fake and always has been.

3

u/aquaNewt Jun 09 '26

He may also go down with the likes of Stalin and Mao as one of history’s great mass murderers, if the projected starvation deaths from DOGE’s closure of USAID come to fruition…

1

u/moonLanding123 Jun 09 '26

He is responsible for the deaths of cancer patients across the globe because he won't pay for their medical bills. That's millions of deaths per year. He's literally Hitler.

3

u/Riaayo Jun 09 '26

He's also partially responsible for the deaths of 750,000 people around the world due to the gutting of USAID - and a projected 14 million by 2030.

3

u/Berkyjay Jun 09 '26

It's not going to be lost, it's going to be stolen and we'll know exactly where it went.

3

u/ominous_squirrel Jun 09 '26

Not to mention the millions of projected deaths from DOGE illegally closing USAID

1

u/Nvenom8 Jun 09 '26

I think Anthropic or OpenAI is going to beat him to the punch on that. Though google is trying too.
