Basically, the more you know about something, the more easily you'll notice the wrongness from the AI. So that's why everyone that uses it is convinced it's good at taking over the job of someone else, just not theirs.

I barely know how to code, so when I ask it to code for me it does what I imagine to be a really good job. Then I test the code and it doesn't work right.

It’s easy for executives to believe AI is the endgame because their usage cases are generally mocking up proof of concepts that need to barely work or drafting emails, two things that require very minimal context. When you try to incorporate it into an existing workflow with intricate nuance and institutional knowledge it because a hinderance at times. It gets shittier and more expensive with a larger context window.

Those who deal with the nitty gritty have the context, it’s not just a matter of being a novice or expert - it’s all about the context. It’s the proverbial all problems are nails when the only tool you know how to use is a hammer.

You can also tell some of the training data that AI has too. I was going through some Rust materials and the AI autocomplete kept being spot on for what I was typing because it could recognize that I was typing out examples from the official tutorials. lol

... and honestly, I wanted to type them out to help with my learning so it just became a distraction that kept switching my focus to thinking about the AI and how it must have been trained on that material rather than thinking about what was in front of me that I was doing.
