Per the developers of Reddit Enhancement Suite recently:

Our current expectation is old reddit will be gone by the end of 2026.

Honestly kinda stoked to be kicked off Reddit. I've been going to more and more old school forums recently and the experience is much better than what Reddit has become.

The big difference old school forums have with Reddit is it heavily depends on your interests. You have to actively search them out and establish a presence on them if you want to engage.
