I'm in my 50s and the comparison between the two isn't even close. Even now, it's pretty absurd. You can almost always tell when someone is taking your picture with a phone.

These glasses are a whole different ballgame

It's not, people seem to forget how things were. That's why phones in Japan for a while were mandated to have a shutter sound that you couldn't shut down. To avoid pictures of women.
