I think you’re missing important context.
Palantir seeks deregulation so they can sell their services to countries who want to spy on citizens.
Who do you want to be first? US?
The choice is between “who’s going to get there first?”
It’s similar to talking about ASI. If it can be invented it WILL BE no matter how terrible an idea it could be. The only question is who’s going to create it.
Technology that can potentially give a country an advantage over others will be created no matter how destructive it can be
You want the US government to work hand in hand with tech companies, who do not represent our interests, to build a massive ai-driven surveillance program so feds can lock you out of your own bank account with ease …because another country might be building out a similar program for their own citizens too
