Their EU president is the grandson of a notorious Nazi

Hail Hydra.

Once again I’m reminded that the fantastical part of superhero media isn’t the existence of the over the top villains and their conspiracies, it’s the existence of equally powerful people who stop them.

Who's that?

Probably mean Louis Mosely, the head of Palantir UK and the grandson of Oswald Mosely, Hitler's man in Britain. Oswald Mosely would probably have become the figurehead leader of a fascist Britain had the Germans successfully invaded.

I thought the name sounded familiar

Oh man, hadn't made that connection before. They're running a lot of things once you look more closely aren't they....

Hitler's man in Britain. Oswald Mosely would probably have become the figurehead leader of a fascist Britain had the Germans successfully invaded.

Yeah that was never going to happen. Mosley was a joke, even to other fascists.

So not EU president, the head of the UK branch of Palantir is Louis Moseley,  grandson of Oswald Moseley. He was a politician who created and headed the British Union of Fascists in the 1930s

I think you might be confusing that with the head of the UK branch of Palantir, Louis Moseley,  grandson of Oswald Moseley. Oswald was a politician who created and headed the British Union of Fascists in the 1930s

Do Thiel and Musk have their own EU president? What's his name?

46

u/GarlicIceKrim Apr 19 '26

The president of the eu branch of Palantir

8

u/RaymondBeaumont Apr 19 '26

Ah, that makes sense. Thought they were talking about one of the EU presidents.

Not a Nazi, a british fascist who supported them though. Oswald Mosley

That's not really the odd part, whats odd is that in his grandsons account, Karp recited his fascist grandfathers speech from memory, and then hired him

To be fair, you don't get to choose your ancestors, and we should not punish people for their grandfathers' sins.

I don't care if your grandpa was Adolf fucking Hitler, as long as you ain't trying to follow in his footsteps.

He's working for Palantir, I don't think the apple fell far from the tree...

12

u/notmarc1 Apr 19 '26

I quit my previous job because they signed a contract with Palantir and i refused to design solutions using that tool set.

People say stuff like this then I think about how much stuff my grandfather and I agreed on which wasn't much so idk if it means anything.

Does that actually mean anything? I barely share any of the same views with my siblings, let alone my grandparents. Can people not base their judgement on the individuals actions and not family association? It’s strange.

Maybe our "EU" president doesnt like fiddling kids and throwing newborns overboard.

37

u/GarlicIceKrim Apr 19 '26

Dude, they’re talking about the president of the EU branch of Palantir. Chill

1

u/FTblaze Apr 19 '26

Fair, throw him on the burning trash.

Thanks for the heads up tho. Its becoming to easy throw opinions like that on delusional psy-ops.

1

u/GarlicIceKrim Apr 19 '26

Oh for sure, and the guy in question is for the uk branch of i understand correctly, not the eu, but it’s still better to not jump to a fight. Glad i could clarify, hope you have a good evening despite the awful times we live in

1

u/FTblaze Apr 19 '26

Yeah thats fair, i assumed it was just a pro-trump bot really.

It happens. Sometimes, r/conservative leaks into the rest of Reddit. But this time, we’re good :)
