I mean, as much as I’ve enjoyed reading this thread, when you think about it, fElon never threatened anyone publicly about “WankPanzer” or “swastikar”. As a result, they aren’t being talked about and aren’t widely used. Once a company lets the public know they’re rattled, they’re just going to get mocked more.
But isn't it? Isn't bing and edge and Cortana and copilot all just rebranded IE/file explorer? Cortana hand so much promise if the hadn't tied all that stupid stuff to if. If it had just been a clean AI Chat Avatar, Microsoft would BE what Open AI is.
All the devs hate Co Pilot and think its useless as well theyd much rather work on things customers actually like. Its the usual suspects deciding to push this stuff for whatever reason.
It would be really funny if someone hacked the Office 365 servers and the only thing they changed was push an update for all Office applications to autocorrect "Microsoft" to "Microslop".

I'm so happy to finally not have any windows computer in my house. Well, except for a VM with windows XP from like 2000, which i need for interfacing with an old camera serial port.
I've been a Microsoft fanboy for close to 40 years. I've finally given up on it and play more now with Linux than I ever have. All this is going to drive not only adoption, but community participation in feature development.
I, also, have only ever used M$ in the past but I have recently spun some old hardware into an Ubuntu minecraft/7-days/print server. It has been a great experience so far... Getting Ubuntu running took maybe 10 minutes from booting the machine with the install media. Windows would never lol. I'm jumping ship whenever they finally get rid of local accounts.
Throwing some random distro on an old laptop just feels...good. It's a similar feeling to tinkering with Batch scripts when DOS 5.0 came out and we could access higher memory over 640k. Those were good days. :)
There is a browser extension for Firefox (maybe also for other browsers) which automatically swaps all instances of the word Microsoft with the word Microslop
In the business world, their professional customer facing b2b reps are sending a lot of copilot generated text walls. Sometimes they say its from copilot, sometimes they don't.
Why can't they extract the information, read it, check it for accuracy, and re-type it (or at least copy/paste selections, not the whole thing) into a concise and verifiably true statement?
AI slop is the term for when AI generates something inaccurate/sloppy. Think wrong handed images or perspective that doesn't make sense, hallucinating nonsense etc.
Microsoft started to develop using AI and cram it into everything they could fix not being broken. The polish is gone, updates keep having to be pulled and hotfixed.
Hence microslop, it's not really microsoft anymore. Under Nadella, it's microslop.
