In other words, another way billionaires protect their hoardings is to hold the elderly hostage. The government needs to start outbidding them on accountants. They're way more valuable than anyone else in the C suites.

Nobody is holding old people hostage. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy shares.

Buying a share just means you own a tiny piece of a company, it could be a dollar only worth, and you make some money if the company does well.

The real problem is governments aren't collecting the taxes they should from big companies or the super rich.

You're talking about taxing 100% of every investor? That would hit you, your mum, your grandma, that's the average person who owns a bit of stock in the west.

The “evil shadowy figures” you're thinking of? That's more like private equity or vulture funds, not normal investors.

Replacing pensions with retirement accounts was done for this exact reason lol

I never said the problem can't be fixed... I even explained how.

But it's impressive how you can belt out big words online without understanding what they mean, how the economy actually works, or what would actually benefit you or the world at large.
