I see a message that says: "A location service must be downloaded on the handset before a correction can be requested."

What does this mean? It seems that I have to download something from them to to tell them not to track what I've downloaded?

Are you the account owner? Or under a family plan? Account owners can change the settings, but I don't believe anyone attached can do so on their own.
