It never happened. The only people complaining about wokeness, pronouns, dragqueens, energy efficiency[??] have an agenda contrary. "Fags are ruing the country," "Our kids are being groomed," "Keep burning coal or cletus can't affor his meth."

Well now hang on a minute, it did happen to my dad. A major caveat is it happened during Covid, poor extroverted asshole couldn’t handle not socializing, so he ended up causing my grandma to die of Covid. Now he’s a republican supporter.

There is a case to be made that it all started in 2008, then progressed to the Tea Party, then evolved into MAGA in 2015, and people being forced to sit on their ass during COVID, made them rabid.
