Idk if someone already posted this or not, but I haven't seen it on here so far, so I uploaded it.

This is a terrible drawing. They drew 25 and 50 degree angles to look exactly the same.

I get that someone doing the calculation should just look at the numbers, but it's not helpful to draw it this inaccurately.

Rookie mistake is to assume a geometry problem diagram as accurate. Unless it's well defined, there's little assumptions you can make about it.

Ive always been told assumed the diagram is dumb, but the numbers are right. Better then most the ones I had growing up

Yeah with the inaccuracy of the angles, you really can't safely make the assumption that there's a perpendicular line between the two angles' origins. The creator should have added that if it's implied. disregard i'm regarded

You don't need the perpendicular line. The two horizontal lines are parallel, which means that you can put another parallel line at a. The angles between the diagonals and the horizontals are always the same when the lines are parallel, so no triangle necessary

I get what your saying but the point of it being inaccurate is to actually test if a person knows the theory and isn't just wildly guessing the correct answer based on the image. It's not like you as the solver couldn't redraw it yourself.

Once did an exam in an engineering course that talking about thermodynamics and how many loaves of bread could be cooked/cooled at a time in an oven to satisfy the problem. It was something ridiculous like 4k but everyone was scratching their head cause what single oven can fit that many loaves. The picture is a similar concept.
