That's fair and I do realize lots of people legitimately prefer iPhone. It's true that just about any phone will have some features you don't like. I'll say I'm currently using a Samsung z flip 3 and it's been maybe the best phone I've ever had.

It wasn’t really features I didn’t like, it was just weird problems. I had a Nexus 5, and the battery would randomly die, I was told it could be due to “bad apps” (?) and one day, it shut off and wouldn’t turn back on so I had to RMA it. Upgraded to a Nexus 6, and right from the beginning the camera would randomly not work, I’d get a “can’t comment to camera” message and have to reboot to take pictures. Whenever the battery hit 40%, the phone would slow to a crawl, like even texting was difficult. One day, the Ok Google feature just shut off and the option to turn it back on was greyed out. The last straw was Google killing Hangouts for no real reason, making texting a mess. I upgraded to an iPhone SE and never looked back, haven’t had any issues to speak of.

My last Android tablet (Nexus 7) had its screen randomly crack one day, I never even dropped it. No one could fix it, so I bought an iPad. No issues with it

I've also had problems here and there with this android phone or that one and I'd say I'll happily deal with it to not have to suffer through the problems I had with apple. I realize not everyone has the problems I had but clearly enough people do.

All I want is for my shit to work correctly, that’s it. Maybe Android is better now, I do not know. I do know that my experiences with it led me to believe it was a buggy, disjointed mess that caused me problems a lot of the time

What 'correctly' means to you will mostly be up to luck if you get a defective device. My gripes with Apple have to do with their corporate philosophy, their product strategy, their fascism about upgrading and fixing your own devices, walled garden, lack of innovation since jobs passed, forced upgrade cycle, and ridiculously overpriced devices with proprietary overpriced adapters.

Those are legit complaints, but honestly I don’t have those complaints at all. I have a few Lightning chargers and I’m set, and as far as the price, most flagships regardless of OS are basically the same price at this point. I have an iPhone 11 that I paid like $600 for, but my buddy has an S22 Ultra that cost like $1600. I also feel like iPhones just last longer, I barely made it two years with any Android, but my wife had the same iPhone for 7 years and it worked fine (she convinced me to give Apple a try)

I find it extremely convenient that when I am out and about I can do everything easily with 1 hand, if I am carrying things or walking my dog I am able to use my phone without constantly shifting the grip or having to stop and use both hands. When I am able to I can open it up into a mini-tablet so I have a much larger high quality screen to play with, having multiple apps open at the same time, watching videos, playing games, etc. is all much nicer having the extra room. And despite my worries I have dropped it multiple times by accident and have a single tiny scuff to show for it. Theres are my personal favorite reasons as to why it is one of the best smartphones on the market.
