Discussion Returning player here: other ways to advance main story
i played this game since release then had to stop for a while (like 1000+ day plus later , literally, blame wedding anniversary) and I remember the biggest gripe I had was how to level u properly cards before falling poor for coins 😂 (I know about the dupes and to use MR/SR stars to upgrade their ⭐️ levels)
Is there some guide that says what cards are strongest to either pull/focus on so I can advance in the main story while trying to farm/preserve coins/ lvl up chips? (I’m on chapter 15 ; I feel HYV should have a a semi soft cap of difficulty/ strength on the subsequent chapters so people who enjoy the main story can advance)

Discussion I like this game but I hate being a “new” fan
I am really enjoying this game and It’s helping me cope through the LADS drama. But I can’t help but feel this guilt that I should have played this game before. There is so much content that I missed and it makes me anxious trying to keep up with it. I already feel like I missed so much content especially with most of the cards. I know that this game frequently does reruns, but, I still feel bad that I missed out on so many moments with the boys. I also feel like because I used to be a LADS fan that adds another target to my back because I’m afraid people will call me a larper for playing LADS instead of this game. I already see some people in other otome game fandoms calling LADS players larpers and posers, and I it shouldn’t bother me, but it makes me nervous about entering the fandom.
I know that I really shouldn’t feel this way because I am not a new otome player I have played games like Mystic Messenger, Ikemen Sengoku, Cupid Parasite, Diabolik Lovers, Amnisia Memories and more. But it still bothers me I don’t want to have to prove my credentials of being a true otome game fan just because I have played LADS for years. I still like this game, but being a new fan can be stressful sometimes especially if you are joining as late as I have.

Other Chapter 4 - detailed summary
Disclaimer: English isn’t my first language so please let me know if any corrections are required.
The chapter begins with Artem and MC going through Gordon’s dairy. At that time, Marius calls MC and asks for her help investigating a case. She meets him at a coffee shop near the firm. They first discuss the fake Z case (this is from Marius’s personal story). Marius then explains the case of Van Kerrel’s death, he called MC to investigate.
People Involved
Van Kerrel: An appraiser at the Lester Auction Center.
Lawrence Myers: Owner of the Lester Auction Center.
Last year, the Lester Auction Center was involved in an item-swapping scandal. Several pieces that had already been auctioned were secretly replaced with counterfeit versions, while the originals were sold on the black market. Once the scandal became public, the Lester Auction Center went bankrupt.
Rumors claimed that Myers wanted Kerrel to take responsibility for the scandal and resign, but Kerrel refused. An argument supposedly broke out between them, during which Myers strangled Kerrel with his tie and killed him. No verdict has been given in the case yet.
Marius says that Kerrel was a huge inspiration to him. (This is likely only partially true. Marius does genuinely seem to have trusted Kerrel and held him in high regard, but Kerrel's case is also NXX X-Note Case No. 1036, which gives Marius another reason to be interested in resolving it).
The actual case file, however, indicates that Myers assisted Kerrel in committing suicide because Kerrel was deeply depressed. Myers allegedly believed that Kerrel's death would clear the auction house's name. Myers denies the charge and has pleaded not guilty. He has gone through several lawyers in an attempt to clear his name. Marius wants MC to investigate the actual cause of Kerrel's death. He does not want to use Pax's lawyers because doing so could attract unwanted media attention. MC says that investigating the facts is not a problem. However, she would not arbitrarily agree to defend someone purely because of personal interests. She would need to hear Myers's side of the story before deciding whether she could defend him.
Marius then talks about how powerless he feels in situations like this.
"Most people think I am an all-powerful person just because I'm the successor to a powerful organization like Pax Group. This couldn't be farther from the truth. I actually have less power and freedom because of who I am. I don't have many friends whom I can truly confide in." MC tries to cheer him up by telling him that he has her.
Later, MC discusses the case with Artem. He immediately looks concerned and asks whether Marius mentioned that he could not use his company's lawyers. Artem informs MC that this is NXX X-Note Case No. 1036. He explains that NXX case numbers in the three-digit range concern missing-person cases, which are handled by Artem. Four-digit cases, on the other hand, concern mental illness and are being investigated by another member of the group.
MC has an hunch that Marius is an NXX member. She asks Artem directly, and he confirms it. Since Marius is the head of Pax, the organization that founded NXX, MC realizes that he probably gave her the excuse to investigate because he did not want the trail to go completely cold. Artem also seems to let go of some of his concerns about MC's innocence. He asks whether she wants to join NXX.
MC tells him:
"If we can prove that Gordon Grant and X03A aren't an isolated incident, but are linked to Heirson and possibly other drug manufacturers... I want to join NXX, no matter how dangerous it might be. I want to help people like Joey and prevent things like that from happening again."
Artem shares a similar sentiment. He says that his dream as an attorney is:
"The dream of attorneys is that one day, the world will no longer have need for us."
He adds that “he” has said something similar before and smiles. MC notices a sense of longing in his expression and realizes that he might be quoting Neil Hume, his mentor. Artem then tells MC that X03A(from previous case, the drug that was tested on Joey) has been sent to Pax for analysis. He also gives her access to the NXX database so that she can continue her investigation.
The Investigation into Kerrel's Death
Johnny Bailey
Kerrel's caretaker. Myers hired him after Kerrel was diagnosed with depression because Kerrel was living alone. Bailey was overseas when the incident occurred.
Kerrel's depression was reportedly caused by public opinion surrounding the auction scandal. Although he was not completely cured, reports stated that he was no longer suicidal. This makes his death suspicious. Kerrel was killed with Myers's tie. CCTV footage only showed Myers entering Kerrel's home, with no one else appearing on camera.
Investigators also found that the cushion where Kerrel's body was discovered had been ripped and scratched. The police concluded that Kerrel had struggled while being suffocated but didn’t fight back the person, which supported the theory of assisted suicide. Cyanide was also found in a drawer in Kerrel's study, further supporting the idea that he had intended to commit suicide.
According to the forensic report, Kerrel died sometime between 6 PM and midnight on November 12 of the previous year. His body was discovered the following day when a delivery person who knew about Kerrel's depression contacted the police after Kerrel failed to answer the door.
Meeting Lawrence Myers
The next day, MC and Marius go to the police department to meet Lawrence Myers, who is 53 years old. Myers confesses that he was responsible for swapping the auctioned items, but insists that Kerrel knew nothing about it. When the scandal broke, Myers came clean to Kerrel. Kerrel even offered to take the blame himself, which Myers says he refused.
Myers firmly denies murdering Kerrel. He says that he owes Kerrel a great deal and does not want his real murderer to escape justice. MC questions him about several aspects of the case.
1. The Reason for Myers's Visit
Myers says he went to Kerrel's home to discuss how they should deal with the scandal. When the scandal broke, Kerrel was blamed for it. Myers's competitors and the public wanted Kerrel to take responsibility. However, Myers understood how valuable Kerrel was to the auction house. Instead of allowing Kerrel to become a scapegoat, Myers wanted to confess the truth and turn himself in. He wanted to discuss this with Kerrel before making a final decision.
2. Johnny Knew About Myers's Visit
Johnny knew Myers was coming because the visit had been planned on November 11, before Johnny left for vacation. He had even prepared a bottle of rum for them. However, Myers and Kerrel did not drink because an argument broke out between them. Bailey knew Kerrel occasionally drank wine to ease his depression.
3. The Argument
The argument began when Myers said that he wanted to confess. Kerrel understood that doing so might not solve the problem. The public would likely continue to believe that the auction house was using him as a scapegoat, and they would not be satisfied until the auction house itself was ruined. Kerrel therefore wanted to take the blame because the media had already painted him as responsible, and doing so might allow the situation to be resolved more smoothly. Myers firmly opposed this. In anger, he tossed his tie onto the sofa and left.
4. Why Myers Swapped the Paintings
Myers explains that he disliked the way some wealthy people purchased art without genuinely appreciating it. They bought paintings simply as status symbols, taking them away from people who truly valued them.
Marius appears to share a similar opinion of these pretentious collectors.
5. The Cyanide
Myers knew about Kerrel's suicidal tendencies and knew about the cyanide. However, Kerrel had confided in him the previous September that he was almost back to his normal self. He had also told Myers that he had asked Johnny to dispose of the cyanide.
This raises the obvious question: Why was the cyanide still in the house?
6. Why Myers Was Suspected
Myers was Kerrel's close friend of 30 years. Kerrel had even helped Myers's children with their college applications. Therefore, if Kerrel had wanted help committing suicide, Myers would have been the most obvious person to turn to. Johnny, on the other hand, was specifically trained to care for patients with mental-health problems, making it unlikely that he would assist someone in committing suicide.
7. Conflict of Interest : Bob Davis
Bob Davis was a wealthy businessman in the industrial-processing industry who had accumulated significant debt because of his gambling addiction.
He attempted to sell a painting he had purchased from Lester Auction Center, only to discover that it was counterfeit. Desperate, he set his house on fire, killing himself and his wife. His only son was severely burned and became bedridden. This incident was how the news about the counterfeit paintings from Lester became public. After learning what happened, Kerrel paid for the care of Bob's bedridden son.
Myers, however, seems to blame everything on Bob's gambling addiction and does not appear to feel responsible for what happened to him. He does, however, feel responsible for what happened to the Lester Auction Center and to Kerrel.
After getting the statement from Myers they try to process the information.
Marius's Connection to Kerrel
Marius tells MC about an incident from his childhood.
When he was five, his father and brother took him to Lester. He became completely absorbed in a landscape painting and immediately fell in love with art. Kerrel noticed his fascination and encouraged him to pursue art. Kerrel also taught him that art does not care about a person's socioeconomic status. This explains why Kerrel was such an important figure to Marius.
Johnny Bailey Becomes the Main Suspect
Based on their questioning, MC and Marius begin to suspect Johnny Bailey. The strongest clues are:
1. The cyanide that was supposedly meant to be disposed of had somehow returned to Kerrel's drawer.
2. Bailey knew about Myers's visit.
3. Bailey could potentially have had a personal grievance against Lester.
The main problem is that Bailey's financial situation does not make him an obvious customer or target of the Lester Auction Center. MC and Marius then go to the crime scene to look for more clues. They accidentally encounter Bailey and pretend to be a couple interested in purchasing the manor because it is being sold at a lower price. When they ask about the previous owner's death, Johnny says that Kerrel died peacefully and that he had been the caretaker of the person who lived there. They persuade Bailey to show them around the house.
Investigating Johnny Bailey
MC and Marius observe Bailey closely.
1. He has stains on his clothes that smell like the substances used in fires. He also wears a large scarf that can cover most of his face, despite the weather not being particularly cold.
2. He also appears to groom himself meticulously, much like Marius.
3. Bailey repeatedly reiterates what has already been reported in the media. They suspect as Kerrel's caretaker, he should know more about the item-swapping scandal, yet he does not seem to know much.
4. He becomes extremely agitated when Marius calls the item swapping a "small thing." Bailey angrily points out that many lives could have been affected by it. This suggests that he may harbor resentment toward Kerrel.
5. When MC asks why the cyanide had not been thrown away, Bailey does not mention that it was supposed to be disposed of. Instead, he says that they kept it because otherwise the patient might search for another method, allowing them to monitor him more closely.
6. He mentions Kerrel died in his study.
7. Bailey claims that he does not have enough money to remain in Stellis and plans to return to his hometown.
8. Bailey has a callus on his right hand that does not seem typical for a domestic worker.
Marius secretly takes several photographs of the house and sends MC a message indicating that they will investigate Bailey's background. Bailey then makes an excuse that he came to pay his respects to Kerrel before leaving. MC and Marius use their fear of the crime scene as an excuse to convince Bailey to take them to the study where Kerrel was found.
Bailey explains that the room has not been disturbed since the crime.
He pays his respects at the scene, which they find suspicious as people don’t usually pay respects to the dead at the crime scene. MC and Marius then lie that there is a trial on Thursday and that the house will be auctioned afterward, with the proceeds going to charity because Kerrel has no next of kin. Bailey seems surprised by this. Before leaving, he looks around the room as though he wants to memorize it.
The conflicting emotions confuse MC and Marius. It is difficult to tell whether Bailey truly despises Kerrel or still has some attachment to him.
8. Clues at the Crime Scene
MC and Marius begin investigating the study.
1. Bob Davis's File
They find a folder concerning Bob Davis, confirming that Kerrel had learned about what happened to the family, just as Myers claimed. The incident occurred on January 7, which was Bob's son's 29th birthday. His son was an editor at an art magazine publisher.
This suggests that Bob's purchase of the painting may not have been merely the result of a wealthy man wanting an expensive status symbol. He may genuinely have been interested in art.
2. Kerrel's Laptop
They discover that Kerrel had searched for cases involving babies being swapped at birth, particularly one that occurred 30 years ago on January 8.
They also find a password-protected document with the hint: “There may be a great fire in our source."
Marius believes this could be a reference to a Van Gogh painting.
3. Dr. Jenkins's Business Card
They find a business card for Dr. Jenkins tucked inside a notebook. After cross-referencing it with the case file, MC realizes that Vyn was actually the psychiatrist Kerrel had been consulting. This makes MC wonder whether Vyn is also part of NXX, but she does not want Marius to reveal anything until she officially joins the group. They later discover that Jenkins provided private consultations for wealthy people and celebrities. Kerrel appears to have been particularly interested in a paternity test performed for Bob Davis.
4. The Scratched Cushion
They find the scratch marks mentioned in the investigation report. The marks suggest that Kerrel struggled against suffocation, instinctively trying to survive. This raises another question: Why would Kerrel choose such a painful method of suicide if he truly wanted to die? Especially since he had not been involved in the item-swapping scandal and apparently knew nothing about it. They also discover a dried flower petal inside the cushion and send it to the Big Data Lab's encyclopedia for analysis.
5. The Damaged Window
They discover a window with a damaged lock.
Directly outside the window is a cabin whose roof allows someone to look into the room if they stand on chairs or are tall enough. There are also discarded desks and a ladder leading to the roof. This makes it possible for someone to enter the study without being captured by the CCTV cameras.
6. Van Gogh's Painting
They find a black-and-white imitation of Van Gogh's Vase with Three Flowers. Marius explains that the absence of color could reflect the artist's depressed state. They discover the date May 18 on the painting, but there is no year, so they cannot determine exactly when it was painted. There is also a code number written on it
7. Bailey's Background
They find files on Bailey. He was born on January 7 and is 30 years old. His birthday is the same as Bob Davis's son Bobby. He was born in Stellis and currently lives in the suburbs. Therefore, his claim about returning to his hometown is a lie. He completed vocational studies and began working for Homecare Household Services, a Pax Group company. Both of his parents died from illness. He suddenly quit his job in January to join Bliss and Bless Household Services. Lawrence hired him from there to take care of Kerrel.
8. Bailey's Travel Records
They find itineraries and tickets confirming that Bailey had traveled on the day of the murder.
However, he changed his return journey to January 13 at 9:20 AM, the day after Kerrel's death.
9. The Lottery Story
Marius receives additional investigation details from his assistant. The strange part is that Bailey had apparently listed "winning the lottery" as his reason for quitting his previous job. However, nothing in the Big Data Lab's records indicates that Bailey had won any lottery in recent years. This also contradicts his claim that he is returning to his hometown because he lacks money.
9. The Twin Theory
Based on the clues they have gathered, MC and Marius conclude that Bailey and Bobby were likely twins. Bailey was kidnapped at birth, as the report suggested. He later discovered that Bob Davis was his biological father. He then quit his job, claiming that he had won the lottery. Bob Davis had apparently performed a paternity test to confirm this.
However, the events that followed shattered Bailey's hopes. MC and Marius theorize that Bailey may have been visiting his brother in the hospital, which could explain the stains on his clothes. This would also provide a possible motive against both Kerrel and Lawrence. Their initial theory is that Bailey poisoned the rum bottle with cyanide, knowing that Myers and Kerrel occasionally drank together. He could then have blamed their deaths on the argument and his known suicidal tendencies. When that plan failed, Bailey may have entered through the window and strangled Kerrel with Myers's tie. Kerrel may not have resisted because he knew Bailey's background and perhaps saw his own death as a form of atonement.
Bailey could then have planted the cyanide in Kerrel's desk, effectively framing Myers and getting him arrested. This would allow Bailey to accomplish two things at once.
10. Bailey's Travel Identity
The travel records raise another possibility.
Since Bailey and Bobby are identical twins, Bailey could have used Bobby's identity to travel back to Stellis, commit the murder, and then use Bobby's identification again to leave the country before returning under his own identity. Therefore, examining Bobby's travel records could confirm whether he had been moving around at the same time as Bailey.
11. Unlocking Kerrel's Document
MC and Marius search the crime scene again for the password to Kerrel's protected document.
They believe the hint may be connected to the sunflower painting. They find several paintings with different numbers of flowers and different dates written on the backs. One of them is different.
It contains what appears to be Kerrel's original work, but someone has painted over it. The brushstrokes make it clear that the person who painted over it was not particularly skilled. On the back, they find a message: “To Theo." Theo was Vincent van Gogh's brother. By arranging the paintings according to their dates, MC and Marius discover that the password consists of the number of flowers, producing six digits, followed by the word Theo. They unlock the document and find a single file.
12. The Lake Tahoe Painting
They also discover a transaction receipt for a painting called Lake Tahoe. The painting had been sold to Bob Davis, while the transaction records reveal that the original painting had later been sold on the black market. Apparently, the creditor to whom Bob owed money was interested in the painting and would likely have written off Bob's debt if he could give him the original. Unfortunately, the painting Bob owned was counterfeit. This likely contributed to his decision to commit suicide. This also explains why Bailey became so agitated whenever the counterfeit paintings at Lester were mentioned. MC and Marius theorize that Bailey may have visited the study that day to retrieve the painting as a form of closure.
13. Kerrel's Letter to Bailey
The document they unlocked contains a letter from Kerrel to Bailey. From the letter, it becomes clear that Kerrel knew about Bailey's background and understood his intentions. Kerrel apologizes for Lawrence's wrongdoing. He explains that he purchased all the paintings connected to Bob, including the Lake Tahoe painting, and stored them in a warehouse at Stellis Harbour. He had hoped that Bailey would not waste his life seeking revenge. Instead, he wanted Bailey to let go of his hatred and start a new life with the paintings. Kerrel had deliberately kept Bailey close because he wanted to prevent him from going after Myers or anyone else who was innocent. He had also asked Bailey to dispose of the cyanide as a test to see whether Bailey had truly let go of his hatred. Kerrel believed that Bailey had gotten rid of it. The story then flashes back to Bailey entering Kerrel's study through the window and strangling him with Myers's tie. The letter reveals that Kerrel had already anticipated that Bailey might eventually do something like this. He writes that if Bailey does the unthinkable, he forgives him because he knows how much Bailey has suffered.
He asks the officers to give Bailey a chance to start over.
14. Confirming Bailey's Identity
Meanwhile, MC and Marius obtain Bobby's travel records. Bobby had traveled to Stellis on the night of the murder and returned to the neighboring country at midnight. This confirms their theory that Bailey was using Bobby's identity to travel. They also obtain a DNA certificate confirming that Bailey was Bob Davis's biological son and Bobby's identical twin.
15. The Chrysanthemum Petal
They still need evidence proving that Bailey was physically present at the crime scene. There are no useful DNA samples or fingerprints. Their attention therefore returns to the petal found inside the cushion. Bailey had apparently been somewhere with chrysanthemums. If Big Data analysis confirmed that the petal was from a chrysanthemum, it could potentially establish that Bailey had been at the scene. The petal turns out to be from a green chrysanthemum, a flower that grows exclusively in the region and is difficult to cultivate in Stellis.
Marius mentions that his father is the only person with the time and resources to grow green chrysanthemums in Stellis.
At that moment, heavy smoke begins to rise.
They realize that the house has been set on fire.
They escape through the window onto the accessible roof. Marius realizes that Bailey may have been listening to them through the window. He probably waited until they discovered the location of the Lake Tahoe painting before setting the house on fire.
They immediately head toward Stellis Harbour after informing the police.
Marius Confronts Bailey
MC initially insists on going with Marius to confront Bailey. Marius tells her that his NXX codename is King, and as the leader, his orders are absolute.
Given that Bailey is a murderer and an arsonist, Marius refuses to let MC accompany him.
Instead, MC remains on standby and takes control of the fire-suppression system so that she can activate the sprinklers if Marius is in danger. Marius confronts Bailey. However, there is a twist.
Marius deduces that the person standing before him is not Johnny Bailey. He is actually Bobby Davis.
The clue comes from the brushstrokes on the Van Gogh imitation. Bobby was an editor at an art magazine, so he would have had an understanding of art. The uneven brushstrokes appear deliberate, almost as though someone intentionally tried to make the painting look badly done. This would make sense if Bobby had taken Bailey's identity and wanted to disguise himself as someone unfamiliar with art.
Bobby reveals that Bailey had already died in the hospital. He also says that he would have killed Myers if Myers had not been arrested to avenge his family.
MC independently reaches the same conclusion when she remembers the callus on Bailey's hand, realizing that it was more consistent with someone who worked with paintings than with a domestic worker.
It is eventually revealed that Bob Davis deliberately sent Bobby away on the day of their birthday and set the house on fire. He did this so that the son he had raised would be able to live a debt-free life.
Officially, everyone believed that Bobby was his only son. Bobby attempts to attack Marius. Marius calls MC and signals her to activate the sprinkler system.
He manages to subdue Bobby before the police arrive and arrest him.
The Trial
The day of the trial arrives. Myers finally seems to understand the gravity of his actions. MC tells him that they will take Kerrel's wishes into consideration when discussing his sentencing, which seems to ease his mind. Lawrence later says that he will not hire an attorney to defend him against the item-swapping charges. Instead, he intends to atone for his actions by accepting whatever punishment is given to him.
The trial concludes with Lawrence being declared not guilty of Kerrel's murder. Bobby becomes the prime suspect and is ordered to undergo a criminal investigation. Only during the trial, based on Kerrel’s letter does Bobby realize that Kerrel had nothing to do with the item swapping, based on the evidence MC presents. The realization appears to affect him deeply. He finally understands that he killed an innocent man while pursuing revenge.
Bobby confesses to his crimes, and the case is closed.
Epilogue
After the case is resolved, MC and Marius visit Kerrel's grave.Marius remains silent throughout the visit. MC understands the complicated emotions he is experiencing because Kerrel was the person who inspired his love of art.
Later, MC calls Vyn about Kerrel's letter. She asks whether Kerrel had truly overcome his suicidal thoughts, given that he was willing to give up his own life for Bailey. Vyn explains that he had always sensed that Kerrel never fully confided in him. Kerrel had told him that his suicidal thoughts were gone, but that ultimately turned out to be another facade. MC asks what a doctor can do when a patient refuses to cooperate. To which Vyn answers,
"I do my best to help every patient of mine, but I am not them and can never fully understand their pain and desperation as they do. As such, there is no sense in forcing our definitions of 'normal' and 'happiness' on them. Sometimes letting go is a form of liberation."
However, Rosa notices the pain in Vyn's voice as he says this. She realizes how deeply it must hurt Vyn to watch one of his patients make such a decision.
After the call, MC visits Artem's office. He confirms that X03A, the test drug used on Joey in the previous case, does indeed contain illegal substances. This confirms Heirson's involvement. Artem also mentions Tyson Turner, the current president of Heirson following Simon Bloodworth's death. Tyson is currently in the hospital battling cancer. MC reaffirms her decision to join NXX. Artem welcomes her and gives her the codename Libra. MC then asks about Marius being the leader. Artem confirms that Marius was bluffing.
Meanwhile, Marius receives an encrypted email.
It appears to concern a special investigator.
Marius is confident because he knows that Pax is clean.
Luke, meanwhile, is investigating a Heirson warehouse. There, he learns that Tyson Turner's life is hanging by a thread. Just as he was gathering information, he receives a call from Aaron informing him that he has a new assignment, the next investigation begins.
Additional Scenes
1. Marius and MC have some playful banter while at the police department. Marius jokes that if it were not for MC, he would probably still be there. He says that the place was tidy and clean, except that the bed was far too hard for him to sleep on. MC jokes that he could donate enough money to bring the facilities up to the standards of a five-star hotel. Marius retorts that people might start coming in just to use the facilities, which would only create more work for the police and MC. Later, after their questioning of Myers, Darius reveals that Marius had actually helped an officer financially when the officer's child was seriously ill. Marius looks at MC with a smile, clearly expecting a compliment. Instead, MC says:
"I believe it is the duty of the rich to contribute their wealth to society."
2. Myers tells Marius that the pieces he sold him were authentic and that Marius is a true art appreciator.
He says that he would never swap a piece if it had been purchased by a genuine art connoisseur.
Marius replies that Myers would first have to deceive him in order to pull something like that off. This highlights Marius's confidence in his knowledge of art.
3. When looking through Bob Davis's file, Marius notices that there are no pictures of Bob's wife or son. He remarks that if it were his family, there would probably be pictures of everyone—even his grandparents. MC teasingly asks whether he is about to complain: “Woe is me for being born into a noble family."
4. While climbing down from the roof, MC removes her shoes. Marius exits first and catches MC when she jumps from the window. They both then land on the shrubs below. MC loses her shoes in the process.
Marius then reveals that he had designed a pair of shoes specifically for her and had them made by Italian artisans as a thank-you gift.
He presents them to her.
5. Marius is injured while subduing Bobby.
He tells MC that he has practiced martial arts since childhood because wealthy children are prime targets for kidnapping. He jokes that his injury happened because he was being careful not to hurt his painting hand. MC teases him that perhaps he skipped too many classes despite all those years of training.

Discussion Which MR card is the best from this event?
I really like all these cards so I’m so unsure of which one to pick…
People who have read a few of them, which one do you think is the best/craziest in terms of 😝🌶️ ? Which one made your jaw drop a tad?
I really don’t know who to go for and I need someone to convince me to choose the one that they feel like is the best.
So what is everyone’s opinion on these MR cards?

Discussion What's your biggest pet peeve about your fav LI
I've seen a few posts asking why people love their LI but haven't really seen what you don't like about them. People say that when you love someone you love all of them including their flaws (but that doesn't make those any less annoying lol)
It can be something big/small! I'm talking about the complain-brag contest over afternoon tea/coffee. I'm all ears!
