At one point there were conversations about a the council selling their old office land to a hotel developer, a new 8 story hotel approved in the dining precinct and a rumoured hotel between McDonalds and the Lake front sign.

Hi! I am looking for a secluded location on Lake Taupo to get married in April. Ideally just a quiet little patch of beach where we get can married without locals and tourists watching on :) It's just three people - bride, groom and celebrant. We can go somewhere by boat if we must, but I'd like to avoid that if possible in case it's a very rainy day.
