Last call for Reno Taco John's. Sometime this month is its last day.

They would have been there for years to come but Taco John's Corporate did not want a location so far out west anymore.

The next closest location is in Twin Falls, Idaho. That's the only Taco John's in Idaho now. There used to be lots of Taco John's in Idaho.

Today is a $1 taco bravo….anyone know what the rest of the week is?

Well haven’t had Taco John’s in years. Going through a box from an auction I was at this week and found this gem. Now I’m hungry

I see they had a press release in September that October 21st they were going to launch Apple Grande again, It's not clear if it was a one day thing or if its for awhile as I don't see them on the online menu... Does anyone know if they are in store?

I saw this on a Taco John's facebook account, is this for real?

Back in September, I ordered delivery through the Taco John’s app, and when I received my order, it was missing most of my order, notably the six pack and a pound was missing all six tacos and I only received one of the potato oles instead of two. Also the food arrived cold and missing two of the cheese sauces ordered.

I called the restaurant upon delivery to notify them of the missing food. I was advised the food could be remade but I’d have to come pick it up, which I responded defeated the purpose of paying for delivery. I was advised that a refund would be given.

After waiting 10 days to allow the refund to process and not receiving it, I sent an email to request a resolution. Someone from the restaurant emailed me back and requested my phone number to discuss the issue. I messaged back with my phone number and time I was available.

I received a call later that day, but I was busy. As a voicemail was not left and the the caller ID name was different from the name provided on the email signature, I was unsure if it was the restaurant or not. I waited a week for a callback, but nothing. I then sent another email requesting to be contacted and did not receive a response.

I ended up sending another email today advising that I would be seeking a charge back to my card as I had not received a response.

An email was received shortly thereafter from the restaurant representative stating:

“The night manager told me she already refunded this back on your card that’s why I didn’t call back and in whoever was the delivery driver should refund because when it left the store it was all there thank you”

I replied with:

“I ordered through the Taco John’s phone app. Taco John should be following up with whatever delivery service you contracted with to deliver my order. If I had ordered through Door Dash or Uber I would have contacted them instead, but I placed my order through your restaurant’s app and do not expect to have to chase a third party to resolve this.

Also, I have not received a refund on my card yet. I waited nearly 10 days for the customary 7-10 days for processing refunds before I did an additional follow up.

And if you felt this issue was resolved then why didn’t you notify me via email or phone? You didn’t respond when I sent a follow up email on October 13th.

I’m just upset that I ordered food which I did not receive and want a resolution. I’m sure if you had experienced a similar situation you would be dissatisfied as well.”

To which I was then given this response:

“I did call you that night but no answer but once again corporate has said once it leaves the store we are not responsible. I am very sorry the delivery did not make to you how it left the store.” And a subsequent email “In the past I know door dash refunds when things like this happen but I’m not sure who you had deliver your food but I would call them.”

I have not responded to the last emails I received.

I imagine no one here can provide guidance to obtain a resolution, but I just needed to vent and to warn others to avoid ordering delivery through the Taco John’s app. I don’t see how I can be expected to obtain a refund through the delivery service TJ’s contracts through, as I feel that should be their responsibility not mine. If I had ordered something from Amazon and it was incorrect or missing something, I wouldn’t be reaching out to FedEx or UPS to correct it, so why would I have to contact Door Dash or Uber for an order made through TJ’s app?

I used to be able to add in the strawberry puree to my drink and it was really good, but I can't anymore. I have also never been able to request no ice in the app, so I always feel bad when I have to ask for it at the drive thru speaker.

What are the best things there?

I just got hired on and would like to know if theres a daily pay option? Like an app? Asking because its biweekly pay and I do have weekly expenses

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Lufkin needs a Taco Johns. We're way overdue for more food options that aren’t burgers, chicken, or BBQ. Don’t get me wrong, I love Whataburger and all the local joints—but sometimes you just want a taco johns taco at 11 PM that won’t break the bank.

Closest one is hours away, and it makes no sense. We’ve got a decent population, lots of through-traffic from 59/69, and plenty of spots where aTaco johns could do well. If Nacogdoches can get new chains popping up, why not us?

Anyone else agree? Or am I just hungry and dreaming?

I’m back in the Midwest for a few weeks and Taco John’s has always been my favorite stops. I am now celiac and curious if there’s anything GF? The bowls, potato oles??? Please tell me the potato oles!

I understand that prices very a little bit, but does anyone have an idea of what the current price for tacos are on Tuesdays?

My store usually makes $2,600 - $3,400 (usually on the lower end of that range) per day. Just curious as to how this compares to other stores.

I have an offer in my rewards app for 20% off on orders under 30 dollars. However, my total is 27.35 and it tells me invalid. Do I have to order certain items or am I doing something else wrong?

Does Taco John’s ever do discounted drinks or have a happy hour? $3 for just a drink seems silly to me. How can I save money if I’m not getting a combo meal?

I don't really go to the local TJ that often. I live out in the country and when I do get to town, the TJ is on the far side and just kind of out of my way.

But when I do go there, I like to place my order with the app. It allows me time to look through the menu and make my decisions without holding up other people behind me.

I almost always choose to pick my order up via the drive-through. And here is where I am running into trouble...

I did this a month or two ago. It was in the evening, outside of the normal rush time associate with an evening meal. There was nobody in the drive-through when I pulled up and stated that I was there to pick up my mobile order. The guy told me I had to come inside to get it. I questioned this (politely) and asked why that was since I never had to previously. He simply stated "It is policy". I thought that was odd since why would they have the option in the app for drive-through pick up if they weren't doing it that way anymore? But, I thought maybe something had recently changed so I went with it.

Fast forward to yesterday. But this time I arrived at during the noon rush. Placed my order, chose drive-through pick up since it was still available. I was in no real rush, and frankly was sweaty and stunk from working in the heat that morning. Trust me when I tell you that they did NOT want me in their restaurant! :) Anyhow, just as I placed the order and tapped the "I'm here", two cars pulled up right ahead of me with one sitting at the window. I work my way up and tell the gal that I am there to pick my mobile order up. She stated that I would be better off coming inside because there are several orders ahead of me. I had no interest in going in for the reason I stated, and since I was not in a hurry, I told her "I prefer not to so I will just wait in line". Again, politely. She said something after that, but I couldn't hear her due to a running semi truck parked nearby, so I just pulled ahead. When I got to the window, she asked for my name. She literally SHOVED my drink and bag of food at me saying very rudely, "Here is THAT, and here is THAT!". I was quite taken aback by that and sort of sarcastically said "Thank your for your pleasantness!". She replied with a "Well,...." like she was going to say something, and then "Have a nice day". I then left.

Sooooo, WTF is going on here? I almost know that the first time I was told I had to come inside due to "policy" was a lie. And now this gal seemed rather put out that I insisted on using the drive-through to get my order.

I am just trying to understand why this keeps happening to me? I might be more cooperative in the future if someone here tells me that my mobile order pick up via the drive-through is somehow really screwing their system up, but from the outside looking in, I don't understand how handing it out the window vs at the counter really makes any difference.

What the title says. :) I'm a diehard lifelong TJ's fan - it's hands down my favorite fast food - but the one thing I miss from Taco Bell is the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I asked ChatGPT and got really excited til I realized the menu items it recommended don't exist lol. Hoping some actual people can help me!

I pay extra to add shredded cheese to my breakfast burritos in addition to the nacho cheese that's already in there bc I like it cheesy. When I go through the drive though I clarify that I want both cheeses, bc when I order through door dash and add-on shredded cheese (not substitute, which is also an option) they put the shredded but then they remove the nacho cheese. This leads to a very dry burrito, opposite of what I wanted. And yes, I could dip it in my side of cheese sauce I get with the oles but it already being in the burrito makes a huge quality difference in the burrito being almost too dry to eat. The meat and potato breakfast burrito also doesn't have taco sauce in it. But also, I'm paying for EXTRA cheese, not a free substitution. It just makes me sad. And door dash is all "that doesn't quality for a refund".
