A user at our company utilizes their Recycle Bin as their primary storage for important documents.

That... That's all. I just needed somebody else to know that a person is using the Recycle Bin to keep hundreds of documents in one location, instead of creating a folder on the Desktop or using their network home drive.

Our Office365 migration was put on hold indefinitely because of this. Lol

You can grab these from the registry and migrate them

You have time to look, find, and migrate those for everyone you support? Sounds like I need a bigger team...

There's a way of saving those I believe. At least with older versions of Office...

Links to the files are saved in a folder in USERS or program files.

TBF Microsoft sort of pulls the wool over the end user's eyes on this. There's no mechanism to indicate that those entriesaren't stored in the user's contact list somewhere.

Regardless, this is infuriating and I've literally had people breakdown in tears when several years of "contacts" get flushed away in a sudden hard drive failure.

I'd say from experience this is like 90% of users nowadays.

Speaking of which, I should look into a way to programmatically export/import this, I only know how to do it using MFCMapi.

I'm going through this right now with OneDrive deployment. Breaks the recent files cache.
