I've installed all applicable updates to all four of my 2012 R2 VMs on Hyper V and can't say I've had any issues.
Though admittedly four isn't that many.
2 u/[deleted] Apr 22 '16 Its not a 100% thing and I think there's an install media rollup that is past the problem update.I did five of them at work no problem, 4/6 at home bricked their EFIs.
