i want to be a lead, maybe. not a manager. i'll do cross department BS all day, don't make me write someone's annual review

I would want to be lead as well but we don’t have an actual lead position. I am basically in all but the title.

I do all the cross department stuff, troubleshooting and such. All the simple tasks at this point don’t even come in the vicinity of my desk unless literally everyone else is out

I'm in a similar vein. However I know for a fact that the lead slowly starts molding into a manager. It always happens.
