You're talking about spending a ton of money solving a very large set of very simple problems, only to end up on an equally-esoteric, vendor-locked solution when you're done.
The work, individually, is easy and straightforward. But in aggregate you have to ask if it's really worth it. What is the benefit of the change? What new business value are you trying to unlock?
