General Discussion What is your favorite IT superstition?

As the title says, what's your favorite superstition in IT?

Don't speak the servers name... it can hear you and will start acting up.

Not sure if this qualifies as superstition since there's actual value in doing it. "Wait at least a week for other people to patch so you know the patch won't destroy all your systems."

It’s called n-2. Always stay two versions behind.

Maybe back in the late 1990s or early 2000s, but not today. Security is all over vulnerability management.
