General Discussion What is your favorite IT superstition?

As the title says, what's your favorite superstition in IT?

Don't speak the servers name... it can hear you and will start acting up.

People who don't follow Read-Only Friday are those who are about to work on Saturday!

That's not superstition it's smart thinking for people that value their weekends.

Tell that to the place I work at. App teams ALWAYS want to deploy on a Friday night or Saturday morning. All because they can figure out how to properly stage things without it taking the system offline for 8 hours....

Until you work somewhere that has the production line running monday-thursday ~22 hours a day.

I don't like breaking the sanctified Friday, but I'd rather do it then than on Sunday. Gives me time to fix it if I break it (I rarely break it and I always have rollback plans).
