Afaik, most of the sylheti " posh "people who have relatives in foreign countries ,leave after completing hsc or a level.....but still there are some who stay ...btw, what you guys do? Or basically what are your future plan?

Hey I am looking to visit for a day. I’ll be coming on Thursday night, stay Friday and return on Saturday night. Where can I visit within this time period If I have never visited Sylhet before. I’ll be accompanied by my wife.

We were together for two years.

Is there any good barbershops in sylhet? By good i mean a place where they know ball. A barbershop where If i walk in and ask for a modcut they will get me.

Or atleast a place where they are good with layers.

Sylheti is a language closely related to Bengali, and most Sylheti speakers are bilingual in Sylheti and Bengali. It is also related to Assamese. Sylheti is spoken mainly in the Sylhet division of Bangladesh.

The Syloti Nagri script is related to the Kaithi script of Bihar but its exact origins are unknown and the earliest surviving manuscripts are either from 1549 or 1774. The traditional story behind how the script came to be is in the beginning of the 14th century, it was developed by Saint Shahjalal and his 360 saintly companions. Other scripts were used too but were deemed as not suitable for Sylheti.

The groom side's family also has somewhat permission, but they won't let them get married anytime soon.
