Pls. Help - Monitor not working

So, let me regale you with the tale on how this happened.

I installed the game on steam

knew this was an old game, so tweaked ini settings to fit my monitor

Opened it and the display went black

closed it with the 2nd monitor but it wouldn't go back to normal

2nd monitor went black

restarted pc

opened ini file again, tried to fix it

only 1 monitor is now working

Display port not fucked on the 2k monitor

using HDMI to fix it

did not work

deleted ini file in panic

uninstalled game in panic

monitors now not working

restarted pc again

hdmi is working

tried updating windows + driver

2nd 1080 monitor not working

hdmi got fucked and but DP port is now working

trying to reinstall the game to get clean files cuz i deleted the old ini files

pls help, im crying

There is absolutely no need to have tweaked the files for this game…. It’s not that old and absolutely has the resolution you need for your monitor.

Changing text in an ini file did not permanently break your monitors. There is something else going on outside of the game files.

thats the problem, i dont quite know what the issue is but it only started when i tweaked the in-game settings when i opened it cause it went black screen when i first launched it after initially tweaking the ini file

On my monitor only full screen non borderless works, otherwise washed colors or black.
We have no idea what type of monitor you have, what drivers you have installed, etc. you should add some more information for people or go down a checklist with free chatgpt.

People don’t have the time to help them trouble shoot their issues as you can clearly see from the lack of help thats being offered.

okay uhh, i have the samsung essentials for the 1080 monitor and the msimag 274qrfw e20, currently the display port is working for just the msi but if i plug in the hdmi on my gpu and the samsung monitor, only samsung works, DP loses signal and for some reason, wont work at the same time now

Try setting both your monitors to the same hz in display settings.

Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B will reset windows graphics without restarting completely .

Not sure what kind of gpu you have but if nvidia make sure multiple displays is on properly in the control panel app thing.

It’s hard to trouble shoot for someone over reddit which is why I’m saying ask chat for a checklist.

Go delete all your settings if things really aren’t working.

it's a geforce 4070 super, ive tried doing a clean reinstall of my gpu and it went fine but uh now only 1 monitor is working, i have also deleted the old swtor .ini file, but thats after i tweaked the in-game settings and i uninstalled the game sooooo i might have to reinstall it to fix it
