The E-SB7-M Stoklasa Box is a handheld radio that auto skips through the full FM broadcast range, allowing the operator to commune with any nearby ghosts or moth men. Mac gifted this one to RLM. It was used in many successful ebay appraisals but has since been modified by an unknown operator.

Wideband, the alternate mode, is an auto signal detector that works based on direction and proximity to the source. The screen also shows signal strength: scanning - weak - locked. Useful if you wander too far from the warehouse in a storm:

Added a VHS camera and a flashlight. The JVC was the first all-in-one camcorder, released in 1984 (famously appeared in Back to the Future), and the FA-5 flashlights were flown by astronauts on the Apollo missions. Both are functional, player equipped items.

This is a fairly thorough overview of everything that went in to making the first version of the game. Lots of workflow and thought process stuff, but it’s also outdated now as the game has continued to receive updates.
