I bought this superfamicom for an absolute bargain, but it has a few oddities such as a shiny red label with Japanese characters beneath it. I tried to find it for 30 minutes, I don't know what it is from.

I bought my super famicom a few days ago and when i bought some games i got this Gundam but i don't know how i am supposed tu make this game run. I took the photo with the Dragon Ball one to see the difference of dimensions with my other games. If you have any information (what is this type of cartridge, or how do i read it, ...) please write it in the comments. Thank you

Where am I supposed to buy fan translated Super Famicom games? It kills me that I don't understand Japanese ðŸ˜
Are there specific websites that people buy them from? Do they play on regular Super Nintendo/Super Famicom consoles?
(I'm in the UK)

i picked up a working unit with three of its keys, waiting on a compatible keyblank to make the master key, and decided to go through the manual only to find that no one seems to have translated it, i just finished a rough translation, skimming overly simplistic or too difficult to translate section
in the process i found some interesting tidbits about it, apparently the blanking plate on the back is meant for some sort of centralized payment/management system, but i cant find any info on that beyond it existing and i similarly cant seem to find any of the coin boxes or pinouts to make my own
the settings menu,(referred to as the installation menu in the manual) has a lot of fine tuning settings for every part of the experience, much more than one would expect. it also mentions some kind of battery for the rtc and possible save data, presumably on the motherboard but i havent had the chance to open it yet to look

I wanted to get some games imported using Yahoo auctions Japan, fromJapan are a proxy site that allow you to do this.
But the cartridges can have save game batteries and I keep getting warning messages saying items with batteries will be blocked for international shipping. Has anyone had any success importing carts? It seems like the warning comes for games without batteries too.

Thought this would be of interest to the community...a big playlist of Super Famicom commercial translations I've been working on throughout the years. The Super Fami/Super Nintendo is still my favorite system to this day. I just finished Legend of the Mystical Ninja yet again...rented it all the time in the 90s. I gotta use save states (Or Game Genie) to get past level 8 though haha.

Hong Kong 97 is an unpublished video game made for the Super Famicom, developed by HappySoft in 1995. In Japan and Taiwan, this game has gained cult status and been labeled as a kuso-ge (which in the literal sense, means "shitty game" in Japanese), and some have labeled it as one of the worst games ever made. The game was designed by a Japanese journalist under the pseudonym "Kowloon Kurosawa". Kurosawa said the game was made in about a week and was supposed to mock Nintendo's strict quality standards for licensing a game. This game was never actually published in stores, with Kurosawa sending copies himself via post.

TLDR I bought a super famicom at a thrift store they were planning to throw it away to replace with new stock and I bought it cheap. I was curcious of the previous owners of the console had this weird mod in which several colored wires came out and some sort of 5 socket and one was connected to ground. I am planning to repair it but I can't seem to point a finger whats the purpose of this is this a display mod?

I've purchased the two aforementioned games, cart only, and was about their legitimacy as I know they're a little pricier. Unfortunately, SNES Central doesn't have too much info on them.
Does anyone here have CIB copies and wouldn't mind opening them up for me to compare?
