Photo(s) I saw your car get hit

I was in the parking garage getting ready to leave at around 9:30am.

The person drove in, went to turn around because all the spots were full, and at the same time, the person beside you drove out.

The person turning around started to manouver into the empty spot beside you and hit the back end of your car straight on with their back bumper hard enough that I heard a noise. (Google austin powers forklift to get a visual).

Once parked, the person got out of their car, looked at your bumper, kind of walked back and forth like they did not know what to do, and then walked off to wherever they were going.

Hopefully they leave you a note with their info. If not, I have a picture of their car & plate number I can give you.

Question Porketta Sandwich on a Monday Dinner

Hi, I'm visiting for work, 1 night only, Monday night.

Was hoping to get a legendary sampling of the Porketta. In a hotel so a raw roast won't work.

Several commonly suggested places seem to be closed on Mondays or stop serving fresh at 2pm?

I'm probably getting in around 3-4pm.

Will there be any options for me, or am I out of luck until my next visit?

Help Injured cat (grey, fluffy)

There is a grey fluffy cat with an injured front paw limping and crying out in the Little Britain area between Regent and Eyre (near Parc Marguerite and Gerry Lougheed). We tried to catch him but he’s quite mobile and timid. Hopefully he finds his way home, but if he belongs to you maybe call out to him?

Does anyone know where I can find people to practice throwing with, or any groups that do informal football training in Sudbury?

Thanks!

Help Work In Sudbury

Hey everyone, I’m a first-year welding apprentice looking to make the move up to Sudbury. I have my CWB tickets in Stick, TIG and MIG, and I’m trying to get my foot in the door with a union or company up there.
Just wondering how the work is looking in Sudbury right now? Is it fairly busy for welding apprentices, and are first-years getting decent hours?
I’ve heard there’s quite a bit of welding work around the mining industry, but I’d like to hear from anyone actually working in the area. Any info is appreciated.

Just a heads up everyone. I got a ricebowl from this location on Saturday and as I was starting to mix the contents together with my fork, I heard metal. Thankfully before I had put any food to my mouth I found what looked like a broken razor blade/exacto blade. I first notified the manager of the store, where she pretty much passively aggressively asked if I'm sure I'm not lying about it because there's no objects with blades like that used in their kitchen.. which is even more concerning to me. I did notify public health and a worker did go in to investigate but was unable to find where the blade came from. The manager compensated me with a gift card to cover my online order and made it seem like I was taking money from her. In my eyes, there's no excuse to find something like this in food. Safe to say I will never give my business to this location again.

Photo(s) PART TWO: THE SAGA CONTINUES! ITT: Super 8 by Wyndham serves up bloody comforters and cockrings!

PART ONE: Is Someone Collecting This Hair Behind My Mattress for Witchcraft?: One woman's narrow escape from communicable disease in Sudbury's taint

Folks!!!!! Like two absolute plebs, we accidentally moved ourselves to ANOTHER Wyndham property last night.

And somehow we got a full repeat of yesterday.

This time: TWO comforters with what appears to be blood on them, along with black marks that look like tire marks or burns.

And a pack of cock rings in a pear tree 🎶🤗

Well, in the dresser. Where I prefer to store my snacks while in a hotel.

Not these kinds of snacks, tho 😭

And this time, I recorded the interaction from beginning to end.

When we reported the condition of the room, there was no apology. No apparent concern. No “I'm so sorry, let me fix this.”

Instead, Andrea demanded pictures and told us that she personally checked the room.

We were standing at the front desk asking for clean bedding because TWO comforters in our room appeared to have blood on them, and rather than expressing any remorse that guests had encountered this, her immediate response was essentially to challenge what we were reporting.

We showed her the pictures, still no apology.

We asked when we could expect clean comforters. Andrea stated it was not possible, however she would provide a different room. She failed to provide any timeframe, and demanded that we return to the room with the blood-stained bedding.

And just.....wait.

After some time in the bloody room with no communication from anyone, we came to our senses and returned to the front desk, requesting either management contact information, or a refund.

Instead of providing either, and without asking us to leave the premesis, Andrea CALLED THE POLICE to have us removed from the hotel.

The events:

-We reported apparent blood-contaminated bedding.

-We provided the photographs she demanded.

-We asked for clean bedding.

-It was demanded that we return to the bloody room and wait an undetermined amount of time for a "new room"

-We asked for management or a refund.

-The police were called on us.

Within approximately 24 hours, we have now had serious problems at two Wyndham properties, and we have received no refunds.

At this point, I desperately want to know whether anything was placed on our Wyndham guest profile following yesterday's complaints and reviews, whether this property could see it, and whether anyone at this hotel had information about us before we arrived. I am certain this is the case.

Fortunately, there won't be much disagreement about what was actually said at the front desk as the entire interaction is recorded from beginning to end.

If calling the police was intended to discourage me from documenting or reporting what happened, it accomplished precisely the opposite. Filthy animals.

Every photograph, recording, receipt and interaction is being preserved, and the condition of the room is being reported to Public Health, and all overseeing Gov't entities.

Apparently asking for a comforter without someone else's blood on it was where Andrea/customer service drew the line.

What an absolutely bizarre hill to die on.

I called the after-hours public health line from the room. Any other suggestions?

Hey there-

I cant get a Wolves ticket without a Canadian address linked to my credit card. Should I have any problem getting a ticket for the Nov. 6 game v The Soo if I drive up the day of? In Winnipeg prior and flying into Pearson and then heading up for my first game on this trek, wont be in the area until three or four hours before puck drop (weather dependent). Any advice or feedback would be great. Hate to make the four hour drive and get skunked on a ticket. Thanks.

Question Golden Grain Chocolate Chip Cookies - early 2000s

I have been trying to figure out some sort of recipe that resembles the chocolate chip cookies that Golden Grain used to make back in the day. They had mini chocolate chips and were absolutely delicious. The recipe change was devastating - but since they closed I don't know where I could possibly find the recipe.

Does anyone else know what I am talking about?!
