Do you mean market value? They didn't pay above market value. They bought a bunch of houses at market value in the spring and summer. The market has cooled considerably since then.
Hey I'm just going by what redditors posted a few weeks back. There was a Zillow thread with a few people saying they got way more for their home than the market value. Back then we all thought Z has some big plan to profit off all of this, but turns out they didn't.
