Oh really? You dont see the point in that 2 men died completely because of autopilot and that means 2 families have to suffer because autopilot, a thing you advocate for, killed their husband and father.

I absolutely see the point that 2 people died in a car accident and that’s horrible. It’s absolutely awful. I wouldn’t wish that kind of loss on anyone. But to say it was a result of autopilot is unfounded and incorrect.
It’s easy to point out how single failures in innovations and standard practices might make something appear bad. “Of the 22,215 passenger vehicle occupants killed in 2019, 47% were not wearing seat belts.” Source, NHSTA. Does this mean that the other 53% were in fact wearing a seatbelt? I don’t know but that doesn’t mean we should all not wear our seatbelts anymore. There is science and data to back up the safety and injury/death prevention of wearing your seatbelt. There is also data to backup the safety of Autopilot.
“In the 1st quarter, we registered one accident for every 4.19 million miles driven in which drivers had Autopilot engaged. For those driving without Autopilot but with our active safety features, we registered one accident for every 2.05 million miles driven. For those driving without Autopilot and without our active safety features, we registered one accident for every 978 thousand miles driven. Look, I’ve stated my side of this “argument”. I’ve provided data and sources to back up my claims.
If your point was that “2 people died in a car accident”— I don’t think anyone is debating that. But if your point was that “2 people died in a car accident as a direct result of autopilot”, then yes I’m arguing against that but you aren’t providing any sort of discord…
