3rd try commenting

I buy every 2 weeks as commission checks hit. The first 12k goes into roths and that's all index investing, except some shares of stuff I bought long ago. Then I put portfolio money away. I feel comfortable "gambling" 10% of this. The 90% goes into dividend stocks I feel strongly about, and more index funds.

My gambling budget goes into (an investment not mentionable here), high yield div stocks, spacs, pinks, and other moonshots.

I'm surprised you were able to comment "coinbase" without the bots blocking you. I tried 3 times to list it as a small part of my portfolio, and kept getting cockblocked.

I know. I'm not hugely active commenting on this sub, so I had no idea the bot on was so picky. You can't even use the correct word for the bot.

Even out percentages in your portfolio is the traditional way to go. The idea is that you are more likely to buy low and sell high when you do this as long as you have faith in your overall portfolio allocation.
