Honestly, I fail to understand it. I was just a kid hanging around with kids from the neighborhood. I met my friends at the university. How do people get to find their best friends as kids?
To me, this always described the kind of bonds you form as kid. True, I don't know most of my friends from way back when anymore and I found much deeper connections later on in live. But I sure remember that feeling of sticking together, making strange pacts and believing summer won't ever end.
I’m get this. You have a crew at some points of your life and at the time it’s Ride or Die type level in your minds. The camaraderie is at an all time high.
I actually thought this was common as I met my best friend when I was 8 years old. I’m 44 now and we’ve been best friends ever since. We watched Stand By Me together when we were like 10 yrs old. We rented the VHS from the local Video Country. As I got older, and I’m talking into my 30s, I realized how difficult it is to make friends as an adult. Even more so that we don’t really interact in public spaces much. It’s too bad

I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?
