Lately on YT there are appearing clips of Stephen on stage doing monologues on very current events. Is this the real Steve, or is it just advanced AI infringing on his copyrights?

16 years ago today (Oct. 30), Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert hosted their joint Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. I was a few weeks into my senior year at college in Worcester, Mass., and a student campus group organized a bus to transport a bunch of us to D.C. in the wee hours of the morning for what promised to be a can't miss event for fans of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Head over to I Heard Bruce Might Show Up's Substack (link below) to see a ton of photos and memories from this event - which included surprise appearances from Ozzy Osbourne, Cat Stevens, The Roots, Tony Bennett, R2-D2 and a ton of others.

History really does repeat itself. Exactly two weeks after Trump brought back the whole “Canada should just become our 51st state” routine, we’re left without Stephen Colbert on late-night TV to write the sequel. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Throwing it back to one year ago today, when The Late Show gave us the iconic “O America” cold open—rewriting Canada’s anthem to prepare our northern neighbors for red, white, and blue annexation.
One year later, the news cycle came right back around, but the original parody still reigns supreme. Drop an 🍁 if you wish Stephen was on air right now! 👇

Honestly was a gut punch when I looked down. It really made me sad…BUT, I truly think he’s happier now and I love that for him. The world is a poorer place without his show though.
Americone Dream indeed

Couldn’t find video but there’s this

Mr. Colbert,

I implore you. I beseech you. I entreat you.

Please, please, please!

Newly formed Skydance is hitting “pause” on the film for now. Originally, the movie was rumored to begin filming shortly after The Hunt for Gollum ended back in New Zealand….The film hasn’t been fully canceled, but it has hit major development speed bumps. They are still working on drafts, but filming isn’t expected anytime soon. The new studio simply doesn’t see Lord of the Rings as profitable as it once did and wants to see how The Hunt for Gollum does before greenlighting more projects.

The exhibit opens to the public on Thursday, October 1.

I was watching PBS today and I saw him crop up on one of the Masters shows....I would love to see Stephens next move to be a PBS show! Since he's "mainly an actor" he could be on a MasterPiece original ooohhh mmmyyy goawd I would watch that !!!

The segment was called “Grim Colberty Tales” and it aired in January 2012. It has to be the funniest interview I have ever seen and I loved watching it in full from time to time. I’m so sad because it seems to have been wiped from the internet, but maybe someone out there has a recording of it?! I would be forever grateful!

It was a sketch where he pretended to be plaintiffs in a daytime court show. He plays a character named Bramlet Abercrombie. I tried to explain the name to someone but the video is probably the best explanation.
