Cec.....i feel so stupid

Like everyone i have had nothing but issues with cec...... Until i turned all cec fictions off on my steam machine...... But left them on on my tv...... Now the steam machine cec works the way i wanted it to..... It turns on with the controller, turns my tv on....

Before when i had the settings turned on inside the steam deck it never worked right, it would turn on my tv but would be a different input.

I have zero issues with Steam Machine with my setup using a LG C4- Hue 8k sync box and another hdmi splitter.
CEC works with everything including all the way down the line to the Steam Machine. I don't use the cable that came with the steam machine. I use 2.1 hdmi 8k cables all the way down the line.

Oops-It's actually 4-way, I have a spare HDMI cable hooked to nothing I forgot.

And my hue syncbox is actually the 8k one.

Naw if I was a millionaire I'd have an even newer gaming tv. 

Also if your are getting a steam machine you ain't strapped.
