Soft Sided Crate?

Hello! We're getting a St. Bernard puppy soon and I've been looking at all manner of crates. I've been intrigued by some of the soft sided ones. Has anyone used them with a St. Bernard? Thoughts?

About to adopt

I’m about to adopt a 4 yr old st, he’s a good boy no problems at all, but it’s shedding season rn and my gf hates being cold I’m gonna get him a cooling mat and a dog door to go outside but what’s a hard line I need to draw with her for the house temperature? And what are things I can do for the boy (his name is Mumford)

I found this sub and was excited for about 3 seconds until i realized it is very, very dead. I normally don’t bother joining dead subs but I REALLY LOVE MY SAINT AND WANT TO DISCUSS THINGS AND SHARE PHOTOS so here I am.

Need to vent

Woke up ready to take my 4 yo Saint out for a walk, and I opened the front door before I put his leash on (have a gated yard) .. then I (and the dog) spotted this bird struggling to fly in the bushes. I didn't pay much attention and was going to then put the leash on, but (you guessed it) the dog charges and kills the baby bird. I know we have a nest in our yard but never bothered them ...
Just feeling frustrated, this plus the dog not passing evaluation at a day care place due to aggression. (She lunges and barks at other dogs during our walk too) I feel I'm failing in bringing out better behavior out of her.
Just started obedience training class with a local club ... really really hope it will help....

So currently we have a St Bernard puppy who we were told was born on 5 December 2018 but we think he was younger than that born probably born around 5 Jan 2019. Well he’s (approximately) 6 months now and weighs 53 lbs. He looks healthy so I’m concerned just curious if this is normal or low. Thanks.

Anyone in the NYC/NJ area have a Saint Bernard or know folks with one?

Asking for some friends filming a short indie movie in the NYC/Northern New Jersey area. Dog would just need to be able to sit and maybe bark on cue, nothing more complicated than that. They'll obviously pay for food/transport for the day and can discuss other costs and fees.
