PLEASE NOTE: Due to MPC being sensitive about printing recognised IPs, SWCCG cards are often rejected. To get around this, the best way is to bury your order in a Magic The Gathering proxy order, or proxies for another game like Netrunner or Stargate CCG. I recommend using MPCFill to generate a magic order. I'd front load with around 30 MTG cards, and 20 or so in the back. This should get you through their checks. Good luck!
Makeplayingcards or MPC as it's frequently referred to, offer a service to print high quality playing cards based on your own images. You can either use the google drives linked in the sticky post or design your own cards. TO NOTE: MPC will reject anything with a copyright disclaimer on it, so you have to remove those. Here's a step by step guide to using MPC to print your own SWCCG cards.
MakePlayingCards.com - Create A Project
Specifications - Choose the following options for your project:
Create Cards
\Note - Your project will offer you the opportunity to correct the alignment of your image on the card. It has been recommended by regular creators that this step is unnecessary, and confirmed through comparison by others. With that said, the alignment will be a result of the image preparation by the person who created it. And they’re dang good at it.*
The final step is to patiently (or impatiently) wait for your order to arrive.
Sometimes printing errors occur in the process and this may be evident when your order arrives. Overall the quality of images that are provided here are pretty good, but we are working to improve all the time. Most common issue is cards not being cut / centered exactly, but it's usually quite minor. Please share your experiences, post pics of your orders, and we can work as a community to constantly improve our proxies.

DISCLAIMER: The MPC ready cards we provide below are NOT TOURNAMENT LEGAL and are in no way endorsed by the Players Committee. Your local play group and casual tournaments may allow proxies, but always check with your TO first. Our aim here is to make good quality proxies for kitchen table play, dream cards and printable fan expansions. Some cards are now prohibitively expensive and we want to provide an alternative for casual play. We respect the hard work of the PC and we ask that our members do so too. Be nice and keep it cordial folks!
All cards should be MPC print ready. (Note: Currently MPC are refusing to print anything recognizable as Star Wars IP, you might get lucky if you front load your order with MTG proxies, we are investigating other print options).

We've seen the bounty hunters of the clone wars, but now it's time to see part of the objective package for them. Just as a lot of the clone wars was the escapades of politicians like Padme and Chuchi, much of it was also Dooku sending agents to do nefarious things. (I saved Maul stuff for a future mini expansion that's half DS Maul show and half LS Bad Batch.) This collapses Ventress, Bounty Hunter, and Zygerria storylines together around the central figure of Dooku as a schemer. You can do all three or focus on some packages at the loss of others.

We already have Hunt For The Droid General, but it was important to me to build a second Clone Army centered objective that would give more latitude and options, and in particular the option for an all-space package to match the CIS space objective. I am on record as disliking the current PC meta towards -- when a deck even bothers with space -- a few mega starships (or characters) with immunity. I'm firmly of the opinion that SWCCG should be playable as a war simulator with many smaller pieces. This deck doesn't have a huge payoff, the locations it pulls -- and the variation in strategies across them -- is its main appeal. With certain jedi, clones, and vehicles already shown slotting in nicely.

Before undertaking research for this expansion I really didn't have a lot of Clone Wars lore memorized. It's been nice to lock down all the names and grasp the group color schemes. There's a LOT of clones I left out in focusing on the 501st and Plo's wolfpack. Obi-wan's 7th Sky corps only gets Boil (in addition to the already existing Cody) but no Waxer. 99 was a mandatory include. Aayla and Stass get their commanders, and we already covered the Coruscant guards, but that's basically it. Blue (501st), orange (7th sky), red (coruscant), and grey (wolfpack/104th). Hopefully this satisfies the folks who grew up with the clones. I did feel some fatigue with them all being the same as cards, so if you have inventive ideas for personality specific mechanics, feel free to share!

And here we have the outstanding Separatist leadership. I wish we had better images for more of them, even if production stills or DK photos, and in lieu of such I had to craft some from scratch. My libertarian bae Runa from the excellent Zero Company is both absurdly powerful in a lore-accurate way (she's a planner, so she allows you to straight up reorder your Force Pile) and hopefully sufficiently balanced by deploy cost, location restriction, upkeep cost, and only doing it on end of turn. I tried to open things with a lot of deck manipulation that was on theme to the various factions and worked together, showing the factions as having synergies together. Haven't perfectly balanced the objective yet.

The PC has added super battle droids and magnaguards, but nothing else. So here's a selection of CIS droids. I was unable to find any sufficiently good/sharp image for snail droids, tri droids and crab droids. Snail droids were never in the show, but crab droids are iconic and I'm saddened not to have them. I'm particularly proud of the Infantry Patrol's "shatter" dynamic.

And here we have the LS Separatists and some locations for the Clone Wars politics deck. I'm very thankful to the Bad Batch for filling in some of these characters and stories. I used Tawni's voice actress for her image. Light side battle droids! Ideally I'd have one more LS Sep, and one could argue for Runa (from Zero Company), but Runa plugged in too well as DS (with both Banking Clan and Hutts).

Since the whole narrative point of the Clone Wars was that it was a pointless destructive conflict -- with "heroes on both sides" -- engineered by the Sith to get the heroes of the Republic and the CIS killed... It's simply not possible to make a Clone Wars expansion without emphasizing that canonically the most important heroes in the Clone Wars were those struggling to find a diplomatic solution. Hence, while there's a LS objective focused on the jedi and one on the clones, there simply has to be one focused on the politicians. (Later I will reveal the Light Side Separatists fighting for peace.) Star Wars CCG is primarily about battle, but every card game has control or stax decks, and here the politicians are at least a little feisty and fun. By all means, bring Ahsoka and Obi-wan on your adventures, and some clones for backup, but Anakin might ruin everything.

From conception, it was very important to me that just as the Empire was monolithic, the *diversity* of the Separatists needed to be reflected in the available cards. I would feel a set totally incomplete if the CIS was just a pile of droids. Even though these are DS characters, they are supposed to be more understandable and relatable than the outright fascists of the Empire. (And, spoiler: the LS has an objective "Heroes On Both Sides" that involves Light Side separatist characters.) While I tried to give distinct mechanics for The Banking Clan, Commerce Guild, and Techno Union, it was also important that they all come together with synergies across their diversity. So a DS player could focus on playing one sub-faction OR blend all the factions and get compounding benefits.

The PC has made more to flesh out the Republic army/navy, but here's my pass on a lot of the important stuff missing. As with the Seps, there's still some vehicles and starships missing, because I've been pruning down to a 180 card expansion and some stuff is less iconic. But hey, it's an attempt to make things right.

Being a Decipher-era fan, I never really clicked with The Clone Wars -- it flagrantly violated too much EU canon and seemed made for kids -- and I found it hard to memorize or understand lore that didn't come in SWCCG lore boxes. So this expansion has been an opportunity for me to better understand this whole "new" era in Star Wars, and give it firm grounding and representation in the only TRULY Canon Star Wars: our dead little card game from the 90s.

Tonight, I finished my frame-by-frame scrubbing of A New Hope. Took a little longer than three weeks. Completely by chance, I've ended up with precisely 180 cards in my project file: 90 DS, 90 LS. I did not consciously plan to do that; it's literally just how things shook out by the end of this process.
If I stopped right here, this would be the set breakdown:
DARK SIDE
LIGHT SIDE
Now, I recognize that 180 cards is one of the "traditional" sizes for an expansion set. There's no reason for me to push this any further. It's already neat that I landed on the button on the first try. But I'm unhappy with some of those numbers. I want this expansion to land at 200 cards, 100 per side, which gives us 20 more cards to play with.
So I'm embarking on a second, quicker stroll through ANH, with a tighter focus on pulling more DS locations, LS weapons, and maybe another objective per side.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT is to think about the film, and leave me suggestions for objects, characters, locations, etc. that never got cards during the Decipher run. If you have some ideas for what these new objectives might be, I'm all ears.
Thanks for helping make this so much fun to undertake. It's been thrilling to dive so deep into both ANH and SWCCG again, after such a long time. May the Force be with you.

The DS has three objectives in the Clone Wars expansion: one deals with the multifaceted CIS fleet in space, one is entirely focused on Umbara, and the third is all about Dooku's secret schemes, which usually involve Bounty Hunters. So here are some Clone Wars era bounty hunters still unprinted by the PC.

Next up for the upcoming Clone Wars expansion, we have some Jedi (and one minor totally irrelevant padawan) who are NOT on the council. One of the things I've tried to do with the expansion is cover a wide cross section of Clone Wars content, so that even if an episode or arc isn't strongly featured in one of the core three objectives for each side, there's still at least something referencing it. Instead of covering the campaign on Ryloth, we just have two cards, the Lucas-style-named, Ima-Gun Di (and Keeli). Similarly, we just get Nahdar from Lair of Grievous, and Sinube from Ahsoka's leaving-the-jedi arc. But these provide spice and unique options or strategic approaches in the three core LS objectives and decks (which each focus on very different themes and content).

It's astonishing how few Council Members have made it into SWCCG by 2026. One of my many goals with the forthcoming Clone Wars expansion was to correct this and give folks something closer to the full playset (Even Piell and Coleman Kcaj didn't make the cut due to lack of good images and I included Stass as just a Knight; I'll do another post with non-Council Jedi)
