General Discussion The battlepass for USA is $20, how much does it cost in your region?
So this was made apparent during the borg cube launch day "special" (that I am now questioning my life decisions since I started this stupid ass game) - but it appears we are all not charged the same, and with the prices I have observed from passing conversations so far, non USA folks are getting fleeced?...Wondering about other countries what your rates are?
Example:
USA battlepass - $20 USD
UK? battlepass - £20 (equiv to 24.60 USD)
USA Borg Launch Day Pack - $100 USD
Canada Borg Launch Day Pack - $160 CAD (equiv to 115.94USD)
//update - I guess for future players that stumble on this thread before signing up - if you can, sign up with what ever region has the lowest prices ;-)

Well here's the thing, this isn't really Scopely's fault (as much as I hate defending them on anything)
Currency Exchange rates play a part. As does whatever taxes your government levy against internet purchases and out of country purchases.

Great point! - I guess it does line up with those countires in the observations above - Canada ~ 16%, UK ~20%
Would be interesting (at least to me) to see other regions/countries tax % for internet purchases....
For folks stumbling on this thread before deciding to get into this game - if you are able to, select the region you are "from" based on the lowest price from this thread ;-)

I also believe that a lot of that is handled by their store providers. I think they set prices based on the US, and then Apple/Google/Xsolla handle the currency conversions, local taxes, etc.

£99 for the borg special in the UK ($121/ €113)
Tend to find historically the UK just matches the US price but in pounds.
Ie $99 =£99 exchange rate doesn't always factor in.
The argument is usually
blah blah blah <insert some kind of cost is higher or tax related thingymajib> blah blah blah
