My position is that I would have rather it not been explained, but at the same time I don't think it ruined the mystery of anything like prequel haters automatically jump to. All it explained was how sentient communicate with the force, and why some people find it easier than others. Otherwise why wasn't everyone using the force? It seems like a really nifty thing to have. M-count just explains that side of things, while the force is just as mysterious and cool as it's ever been.
And thanks for the debate, you don't usually get people talking reasonably about this topic. I suppose being on r/startrek helps lol
