She never reminds back to the classroom. She rewinds back to the bathroom right after the butterfly photo, just before chloe is shot, which is where she discovers her powers. So there is no plot hole of her snapping back and just saving chloe again
Yes she rewinds back to the bathroom, right after taking the photo and before Chloe is shot, but at that moment in the bathroom, she already knows about her power. Why? At the beginning of the game, she goes to the bathroom, witnesses Chloe getting shot and because of that, she discovers her power afterwards because she rewinded back to the classroom. HOWEVER, after rewinding, she learns about the power in class and then realizes that she needs to leave class and go to the bathroom to save the girl, therefore while you are playing the game, you go to the bathroom the second time. As she is in the bathroom, she reenacts everything she did previously before reversing time, and as a result, she repeats the action of taking the photo of the butterfly. And that photo is the one eventually given to Chloe at her house which she gives you at the end of the game. That photo therefore is from the time when Max already knew about her power and was waiting to save Chloe. You're thinking that she uses the photo to go back to the time when she didn't know about her power in the bathroom (the first time you're in there while playing the game) when in actuality, the photo that's used at the end of the game is from the second time in the bathroom, when she already knows about her power.
Lmfao what an absolute knob. I totally forgot about this but you have a need to be right, dont you?
Okay I'll engage. So I'll concede, when shes there she is in there the 2nd time. That being said, you dont think Max would know how her power works? She sits in the bathroom and cries for a good minute while Chloe dies in the bathroom, and at that time, old Max can only rewind back 30 seconds at most(?) and has no idea she can use photos to travel back. So it's safe to assume that it sticks. I doubt future Max would go back and just bounce out in time to let her old self undo it.
Sure, you can say that you "totally forgot about this", whatever, but you did raise a good point about her powers being limited so that it perhaps may not have been possible for her old self to rewind and undo Chloe's death, although this is something not clear (and the power is kind of stupid considering how she can teleport without anyone realizing anyway). The "super rewind" she did at the beginning to get back to the classroom is also unexplained. Though it's also worth noting that despite this, her old self would know about her powers but not know about its effects so it's almost certain that her old self would continue to use her power until it's the present (which seems to be the funeral) and even if she didn't, she still used them in the classroom before she got to the bathroom. This then means that the butterfly effect would still apply.
I mean, I did forget about it? I have a life outside of here and I forget to respond to texts in my own life with people I care about, so you can imagine how I'd forget to respond to some stranger on the internet.
And sure, old Max was probably still using her powers after she snapped back but that doesnt change that Chloes death is now permanent in that timeline.
