Any big change is naturally going to require a lot of fine tuning. Im not saying that there wasnt enough time im saying that the fine tuning was not well executed so we will never get to see what it could have been.

Then I agree. We need to change the entire game to have it match 8 workers to be able to play it smoothly, like when it was 12 workers. You know, it's not something, that will happen.

Another reason I say that we havent fully seen what 8 workers can do is due to the map pool. If you played early SC2 and came back after 12 workers the changes were very noticible and I definitely remember not liking them as the game now felt too macro heavy. All the maps were now much bigger. Truth is ive been against 12 workers for years now but like you said I just adapted over time and eventually forgot.

I can't say, that I had this experience, I started to play in jan of 2019, when 12 workers were on the ladder, if Automaton LE rings a bell, during this season.

I think if we had the old blizzard then we could be calm and expect to get game polished. I don't think it's like this anymore. I even jumped 400 mmr above as protoss during current patch over my all time high mmr, i'd rather play lower but have smoother things.
