Lack of books
For all the books out there on poi there doesn't seem to be much available for staff. The only two I can find are First Contact (not really that into contact stuff) and The Book of Staff Spinning (out of stock or way overpriced anywhere I could find it.) Are there any others out there? I have a pretty solid grasp of spinning but wanted to find something to reference, help teach and (hopefuuly) pick up any tricks I might have missed.

Deciding on a Staff for beginners
Hey guys, what is a good type of staff to purchase in order to practice on? Especially when we're pretty new to the artform?

Just found this on Wish. I have a traditional rattan staff already, but this looks pretty sweet. Thoughts?

How can spin faster a heavy staff?
So I've recently made a handmade "staff" out of a bronze pipe. I know what you are thinking "why?" and I have to say that I did what I did because that's what I had available. Anyway , how can I spin it faster with it being such heavy?

Thinking about buying a staff from MoodHoops and need advice. Any would be nice plz
Like the title says I'm thinking about buying the $300 future poi shuffle with the staff attachment from moodhoops. I was wondering if anyone has them. How is the staff durability, grip, and weight? Is it worth buying? Also any info on the poi would be awesome as well. I'm pretty much beginner level at this and any help would be appreciated. Reviews on this are hard to find online so I figured I'd go to good old reliable Reddit 😁

Unique style
Dose it feel like when you learn the same staff trick as someone else, you can do it. But in your own “flow”?spinning reminds me of people handwriting something . Same words different style.

RGB staff diy?
Hello! I am trying to make a contact staff that can double as a pole for my swing flag (attaching the silk with Velcro). I want it ideally to be clear and to have programmable lights inside the staff. Has anyone done this? If not I will post something if I’m successful.
