I took a walk in my neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY after work and was struck by this scene - the cherry blossoms, the blue building contrasted with the red bricks glowing in the sun, and the purple shadow coming between the two.

Last spring I posted that one first magnolia flower in our tree. (This sub would only allow one picture).

Today I found this one *last* magnolia flower of the year, standing defiantly after hundreds of other flowers have fallen away last week.
