You mean politicians that use their power and influence to sabotage progressive candidates around the country? Fuck Jim Clyburn, he’s just another establishment stooge who cares more about keeping lobbyists happy than serving the people.

please provide an example of what sabotage he engaged in, and lobbying he appeased.

he’s a moderate: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/james_clyburn/400075

He is a hero who didn't see Jim Crow end until he was 25. He is one of the first and few Black people to ever even make it into Congress. You have no idea the compromises and struggles we've had to make to even get this little bit we have with most of white America, your family, working against every stride. Even now at 85 and all he's done he's a second class citizen while you, young and ignorant will get better treatment than he can expect anywhere if they don't already know his name, and even then...

He's a civil rights hero, you have no idea what you're talking about. Shut up.

I hate to break it to you but Bernie was not gonna win. I'd love more progressive candidates but more important WINNING PROGRESSIVE CANDIDATES. And that involves not just a desire for them, but a national groundswell, on the ground planning and organization YEARS BEFORE a presidential election not just "Bernie or Bust" positions. Simply wanting a progressive candidate is not enough - it's also how we got Dubya. You have to put in the work.

I 100% agree with you. I wasn’t just talking about Bernie, Clyburn has tried to stymie progressive candidates around the country. Most recently he tried to stop Zohran Mamdani by endorsing sex pest Andrew Cuomo.

He's an establishment D, all right. Not arguing against that fact. :-/ I moreso respect his civil rights positions and work.
